@louie8390 Hey! Thanks for watching! I was just reading off what the Charger brochure was saying about the headlamps. It says they were halogen, but I wasn't sure if it had the HID option. And the badge on the dashboard caught a shadow of something else. Once I moved the camera away, you can see it disappear. When I started working on editing it, I thought it was coming off too, haha

I'm currently in the process of ordering a 2012 Dodge Charger SE and I am so excited. I appreciate all of the information on this, even tho mine isn't gonna be be quite as "upstyle" as the R/T but it's still helpful. I can't wait to get mine. She is going to be a beauty.

@flare729 I don't think there is. It is pretty much automatic. The front axle has a disconnect feature from the transfer case and will automatically connect if there is any wheel slippage, if you are using AutoStick, the traction control is off or if the windshield wipers are active. Other than that, it is just rear wheel drive for the most part.

@skykicker1600 Not sure. I just now found out that AWD models with the 5.7Liter Hemi makes 15 city, 23 highway. I wouldn't know why that MPG rating would be different from the RWD models if the AWD system only activates during certain situations. Models without AWD make 16 city, 25 highway.

@MichaelAdamsRocks I own the new 2011 Dodge Charger R/T AWD and it only goes into AWD if one of the following happens: 1. windshield wipers are on for prolonged period of time 2. you turn of the traction control 3. the car is slipping on snow/ice or rain out of control there is a sensor which measures this and automatically engages the front axel. otherwise the car is always RWD so its awesome!

@backupoffmynuts it's not only the weight, it also needs more power from the engine to drive the extra 2 wheels.

@hsthompson71 Yeah, it came up when I first started it to bring it to the back of the dealer complex. I forgot to ask them what that was about. Seemed to work fine to me.

Great review Mike . I like your attention to detail.This is probably the nicest Charger ever made , even counting my old 1971 with a 440 cube engine .And with all wheel drive , what more can a guy ask for in the snow belt ?

The base Charger starts off around $25,495. The R/T models start off around $30,000. And I'm sorry, I'm not sure if they export them. Hope this helps though!

in the rt awd's. does it have a manual option to change the drivetrain from rwd to awd on command, instead of using the automatic changing feature

my dad rented one of these once. every time he pressed the gas, and the car accelerated and the front lifted a little, i swear to God, i felt a tingle in my balls. WHAT A CAR, and quite the testosterone booster lol. its a very manly car.

+Jawad K I have a 2012 RT AWD. The ECO comes on any time you are not using the sport shift and are cruising. It will also stay on if you are not taxing the engine too much, it will kick back into 8 cylinders when it needs the power. When doing highway driving I average around 26-29.
