One of the things that I liked about this gen of Charger is that with it's front end styling, the car looked permanently angry. One problem not mentioned is the trunk release button collecting grime and making the trunk pop up at odd times. I found that out with the 2013 SXT AWD model I once had. Using the edge of a business card, to clean around the inside of the button housing helped.

lol it's hilarious to drive in the snow especially with the amazing traction control. You can literally drive on slippery/slushy roads and take an insanely sharp turn and drift for a few seconds for fun and the car just automatically reduces speed to the rear wheels in order to help you perfectly drift and straighten right out and correct itself. It's insane how well this works without fail every single time. It never lets you spin your tires out or lose control unless you purposefully turn the traction control off to do some donuts and drifting figure 8's in a parking lot hahah

I just got a 2012 rt awd plus with 95k for 14k this February. The plus model has a huge amount of options including heated front/ rear seats, steering wheel and mirrors. Remote start, air cooled front seats, back up, blind spot, adaptive cruise, heated and chilled cup holders and rain sensing wipers. And more. You’ll be hard pressed to find a 9 year old car with similar options for the price. My only repairs were tires (knew they were bad) and the awd solenoids went costing about 850 bucks. But it’s a beast in the snow. I love the styling of this model with the hood and front end. I had a toxic orange challenger and wanted the charger, but couldn’t find one. So I ended up with blackberry pearl. The car wizard did a video of a repair on a 12 hemi with almost 200k on it and it looked great still and the repairs were minimal. I say if your thinking of one of these models, bows the time to grab one befor pe they are too expensive or too high mileage.

I have the 2013 Charger SXT PLUS in Black which came fully loaded with all the best features, leather seats, rearview camera, satellite radio, motorized sunroof, remote start, huge touch screen, 18" aluminum wheels, heated front and back seats, heated/cooled cup holders with LEDs for hot and cold, and it's crazy how it has every single feature modern cars and features they DON'T have. Only thing I'm missing is Apple CarPlay which you can add with some aftermarket stuff but I like to keep the radio stock. Even the remote start, heated front/back seats, and heated/cooled cupholders are not features in my wife's brand new 2022 Audi Q7 which cost double the amount. Remote start especially is really important during the winters here since I can have the car heat up in below 0 degree weather instead of having to freeze my butt off waiting for it to heat up or run out in the cold and start it up and run back in and wait. My car still has under 40,000 miles despite being a 2013 as I kept it in a garage for a few years since I was working from home. It still looks brand new. Nobody believes it's a 2013 and thinks it's like a 2017-2018 model because it's so clean and even then then just are amazed at the low mileage. I've started driving it a lot more the last 2 years and the only issues that I've come across the entire life of the car is my front suspension ball joint going out just a few months ago after hitting a really bad pot hole which I replaced myself and was easy since it was the front lower left ball joint and the 2013 suspension has a 4 part suspension so you don't have to replace the whole thing. The other issue I've been having is that the fuel pump might be slightly clogged or maybe it's the fuel injector, but sometimes the car won't start up right away on the first push of the start button. But it starts right up every time using the remote start.... or if I push to start, instantly turn it off after the engine cranks 1-2 times and then starting again and it will fire right up the second try without fail for the past year. I just haven't had the patience to check and replace the fuel pump since it can be messy and it's under the rear seat. The car is still FAST with 300hp and 8-speed automatic transmission is smooth. It accelerates from a hard stop very quickly for being a large sedan and it's SO fun on wet roads because it has such good traction control that reduces power to the wheels when it senses you are sliding. I LOVE driving when the roads are kind of slushy and slippery because I can literally take a sharp turn and have a fun few seconds of drifting and the car will automatically correct itself and straighten out after the short drift. It's kind of fun and it stops you from totally spinning out your tires and losing control. It's VERY well programmed and implemented and never fails. My ONLY major issue is I got the RWD model and the winters can get pretty bad here, so if I'm parked at the curb and the snow builds up, it easily gets stuck in the snow because the rear tires spin SO FAST they don't have time to grip the road. The AWD model would probably make getting out of a spot easier. But I've learned to just carry these portable steel traction bars that you can unfold and toss under the rear wheels to easily grip and get out from a snow bank. LOVE this charger and it look WAY cooler and meaner than the newer re-designed Chargers. I honestly am contemplating just keeping this car until it fully dies, or selling it before the value gets too low and buying a new Challenger since I don't really need a 4 door car anymore. Kids are grown. Either that or a Dodge Hellcat would be so nice.... I've also thought about just switching to electric and going with Tesla to save on gas since there are so many electric chargers in Montreal and we even have designating parking spaces reserved for electric vehicles only so you can charge while you go shopping.

(Today Sept 22, 2022) - In 2018 I bought a beautiful black 2014 Charger R/T 5.7L Hemi AWD. It has this very nice 500 watts Beats by Dr Dre stereo system in it. It barely had 30,000 miles on it at the time I got it. The 22" rims on it seems to be hard to find any where. I did not even see them in tis video. They are chrome 5 spoke "star" style with Dodge embossed on the center caps. I did a few minor upgrades to it. Installed a SRT8 hood Painted original 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner yellow "C" style stripes on the sides, painted the hood and spoiler as well. Other than that I installed Mopar cold air intake (ther main reason I installed the hood) Also installed Scat Pack exhaust. That is it. I am at this point thinking about installing oil cooler as well. All in all, it gets it's annual Ziebart detailing and underspray, then I cover it and park it in it's own garage for the winter. I bought my 2014 R/T 3 years ago for $22,000 out the door and I love it! (Paid off last year too) Added front and rear strut bars for stability, and I don't really need to do any mods, other than an oil catch can I added from Billet Industries. Moving to Texas from CA next month, and looking forward to that trip.

@bernie4723 жыл бұрын
@@joeybagofdonuts23 I would go for it. Just make absolutely sure it's been taken fully care of. Make sure the suspension arms don't make noise, the fluids have been changed regularly, (especially the oil) and make sure the Transmission shifts smoothly with no clunking. If your not sure, have a mechanic check it out first. If buying from a dealer, make sure it has a good reputation.
