I had a 17 Cruze LT and I LOVED it! It was definitely one of the best cars I've ever had. Being a young car freak though I've since traded it in for an EcoBoost Mustang and I just recently traded that in for a Mustang GT. However if for some reason I ever had to get rid of the Mustang I would definitely get back into a Cruze.

I am watching this the night before I go out and pick up a 2017 Cruze. Good deal: 8000 miles, and a final price to drive off the lot of just over $13,000. Factory warranty, and extended service plan included. I have high hopes for this car....but then I have been spoiled by my 2006 Grand Prix GT with all the "toys". Going to really miss that car, but with nearly 180,000 miles it is probably time to trade up.

@@adelinethegr8458 Short answer is Yes and Yes. It was kind of sad to see the Pontiac go, but they gave me a very fair trade in on it, which sweetened the deal a little more. Everything kind of fell into place and I drove the Cruze off the lot that afternoon. So after about a year and a half (and nearly 30,000 miles) I still have the Cruze, and still love it. It really is a nice little car.

I bought the 2018 model LT approximately 6 months ago. Push button start, power driver's seat, and outer door handle lock/unlock button on all four doors. Beside some minor differences both look just about the same everywhere else. Turn signal flasher is a bit annoying though. lol! Don;t have the acceleration issue he described on my Cruze. Very responsive acceleration. Braking can catch you off guard if you have been driving an older vehicle.

I have a Summit White 2016.5 Cruze LT just like this one. The auto stop will not engage when the outside temperature is below 4 Celcius (40 F) This is by design. There are other factors that affect whether it kicks or not such as engine temp, battery charge etc... Love this car!

Well battery charge is because if your battery is running low the computer in the car will cut off features to conserve its battery life.

seems almost as quiet as an impala i drove. i can tell the ride quality is very firm over the bumps but at least the cruze doesn't crash and bang over them like the impala did, as the impala comes with the bad combo of too-big-wheels and too-small [low-profile] tires resulting in next to no isolation from sharp bumps.

Firm brake at the complete stop engages auto shut off. Light taps on brake leaves car running. Very instant engine restart when u let off the brake pressure.

April/May 2020: Have had this 2017 Cruze since Aug 2018, and have had no issues whatsoever with it. Only upgrade I did was installing the proper HID headlights...which should have actually been in there from the factory. Regular maintenance is essential though. Do not skip out on the oil changes. This car is turbocharged, so keeping the proper, fresh oil in it is essential. Otherwise it is a great little car. Your mileage may vary, but I really like this car. For a single or couple, I would recommend this it. While the Cruze does have good interior space, for a family (2-3 kids and a pet) you might consider something a little larger...just for the extra space.

They have a upgraded starter, so it can handle the start stop and a heavy duty battery. The engine is built to handle the start stop and the transmission goes into a soft neutral with this technology. A cold start is what damages your engine. This technology is not new, it's been around for many years. Other gas powered vehicles have it, including Mercedes, Honda, Cadillac, land/range rover, jaguar, jeep Cherokee, Volvo and Acura. It will be equipped in many more vehicles to come.

This thing is a total piece of garbage. I bought one and returned it after a week. Where to start? The car's head lamps are incredibly DIM, even with the brights on you can't see ANYTHING at night. EVERY button in the interior feels so incredibly CHEAP. The audio system sounds like absolute crap. The cup holders are in the stupidest position, if you have drinks then they get in the way of shifting. You can barely see anything out of the backup camera, the quality on it is crap. The buttons that normally work the "infotainment" system are on the BACK of the steering wheel. WTF? Not to mention the screen gets disgusting and gunky really fast. The handbrake is engaged with your foot, literally no one likes that. The air vents on the far left/right DO NOT work, and the air that blows from the vertical ones in the middle are incredibly weak. Not to mention, if you want to use a phone clip that attaches to the vents, you're screwed because they're vertical for no apparent reason. The worst thing of all potentially is that you can't turn off the god-forsaken auto engine shut off, insanely annoying... I only had the car for a week, god knows how many more annoying things I would have discovered as time went on. I now have a 2014 Chevy Cruze and it's AWESOME. WELL built and quality parts/design. From my research this line of vehicles went to shit 2016 and up.

You just push the button at the top while it's already in position! Most of the time people put it in drive and then they go or they drop it down and push the button at the top... so his idiotic little argument about drinks getting in the way of shifting gears... Just makes him an all-out moron!!!
