This isn't REALLY like Cinderella, I just had no other heading to title it. Besides losing her handkerchief one night spent with her one true love, and the Prince who goes in search for her the next day.. There isn't really any other similarities between this movie and Cinderella. There's no evil stepsister, no stepmother, and no mice. She just has a evil friend who stole her happiness by lying.

This isnt part of the Palace series, but they revolve around the same time and the same Princes. I would like to recommend 'Bu Bu Jing Xin' (Scarlet Heart). It is about the same Princes as well-4th, 13th, 9th, and a couple more Princes not in the movie. BuBu is the better drama in comparison to The Palace. It had just as much if not more commercial success as The Palace and is more critically acclaimed. But it is a more serious and mature series, so if you like the young, cutesy series, I wouldn't recommend it. BuBu is for you to ponder on the story and not how good looking the cast is. Hope you check it out.
