Saw sounds great and your kids are super cute! That rotted tree brought back some scary memories. Got into a bad one, and it started collapsing onto itself. Life's lessons. At least no one died ... just a little more excitement than I ever want to experience again.

I'm an Echo fan. Was looking into the 800 before they were discontinued. Glad I did not move on it. The 7310 appears to be a much better saw. Like your mods also. I'm overly cautious on hollow trees. Have had too many just go their own way. Will usually try to drop the larger limbs if safe enough to climb. Never negative block, just drop; then drop the trunk. With less weight it usually has limited crushing.

@@vtrombly I can only imagine, I've heard some terrible stories in regards to the health industry and the nursing homes in the last year. We've been doing well here, even though my wife decided not to go back to teaching in the fall, we're tired of all the crap their pulling and forcing everyone to wear a mask is ridiculous. Just got set up to start splitting a bunch of wood(little over 10 cord) when it warms next week, hope to do some cutting too. I'm just past half way on the wood I've burned this yr so the woodshed will get filled straight from the splitter too, next yrs is already in there, nice to be that far ahead. Tree was wind damaged years ago giving way to rot. Camera perspective lends you to think it's close to building but the weight and distance were safe. I was more worried about a barber chair and death....

I'm amazed at folks who like to poo-poo Echo OPE, because it's historically not the most powerful. I've a 30 cc chainsaw & 21 cc trimmer/brushcutter from the late '70s that still run like new. A few normal repairs (carb kit, clutch shoes, throttle cable for the brushcutter) over that span of course. 21 cc brushcutter works great with various 10" steel blades. There's a lot to be said for simple durability. Takes a licking ...

Good job on the 7310 and the tree! Even though I own some older good running ECHO chainsaws CS 510, CS 670. For some reason I want to buy one of those new Echo 7310. So far none of the dealers around me here in Oregon have had one to look at. Is the High and low fuel easy adjustable? If they are something odd like I ran into on a newer CS 4510 sure would like to see a video on that.
