I think what got most people (me too a little) was the fact that they all denied it was team tactics. I didn't see one rider make a mistake in that corner the whole night, and suddenly after Marvin has ridden it for 20 minutes straight, makes a tiny mistake that sends him almost off the track. Definitely no denying he let him by but then he denied it. I think the fact that the whole team basically lied was what got most people. Nice vid Kellen :D

Yeah the denying it part does suck a little but for KTM's sake they know it's worse publicity to their brand if they accepted it rather than do what they did. You never hear F1 team openly admit to team tactics but they use code words to employ them all the time.

I know that a lot of people where upset, not because it was team tactics, but because on the press box, marvin didn't fess up and say that he let ryan over, but lied about it. I'm not saying anything bad about your argument, I'm just adding on to why other people where upset. Brian Deegan was the first one to make a statement about this, that I saw at least. I've never been a fan of the KTM team. Always been a fan of Kawasaki. That being said, Dungy was way more consistent this year. His teammate let him pass. They're teammates. They help eachother, theyre on a team. THATS WHAT THEY DO! Anyways, liked the video. New to this channel. Bout to check out some more and hopefully the rest of your content is good.

Great Video. You said Webb has a broken ankle, it was a broken wrist. I agree with the team tactics thing, it is far more important for KTM to get their championship than it is for Marvin Musquin to get another win. The sooner we accept it the better, because it any of us was in Roger Decosters situation we would have done the exact same thing

The first team tactics in motorsports I know of happened during the 1950s in F1. During those years, you could change drivers and the guy getting the points was the one who crossed the line and completed a minimum distance on any car so in some races, in case the star of the team had had some failure, teams would tell the other driver to pit so he could step off and let the #1 driver win or at least score some points. In MotoGp it's still common to see "no fighting" team orders plus you have the legendary 1999 125cc season. During that year, Emilio Alzamora managed to lead the championship even though he had not won once. In the fourth-to-last GP (Australia) Emilio never found podium-level speed and even made one big mistake during the race. Seeing the struggling Emilio, his team boss (13-time World champion Ángel Nieto) told his own son, known as "Gelete", to literally stop because then the team's main rider would at least score a point. Finally Alzamora went DNF-3-2 on the last three races to be *the most recent winless World Champion* by a point, THAT ONE FUCKING POINT.

The statistics on that year are fucking insane. This is how the year ended: · Emilio Alzamora = 227pts - 8 podiums - 1 DNF - Started every single race · Marco Melandri = 226pts - 5 wins and 4 podiums - 2 DNF - Started 14 out of 16 races · Masao Azuma = 190pts - 5 wins and no podiums - 3 DNF AFTER THE FIRST THREE ROUNDS: · Masao Azuma = 75pts - 3 wins out of 3 · Emilio Alzamora = 46pts - 3 podiums · Marco Melandri = 0pts - 2 DNS and a DNF

as a Tomac fan, if Tomac had finished better in the beginning of the season he would've​ still had the red plate after East Rutherford. Tomac has clearly shown that he is the best rider right now but his early season lost him the championship, not the team tactics from KTM.

What the you think of the current point system ? Lots of fellows suggest taking the point system of formula 1.

It's hit or miss honestly. It does theoretically reward you for winning but maybe not as much. If you go to F1 points system then only 15 guys will score points all year so that's kinda lame. Personally I don't really think it's broken and if it's not broken you shouldn't fix it. This is only the 4th or 5th time in nearly 50 years of Supercross where the guy who won the most races might not win the title and given that it's a championship season, the title deserves to go to the better overall rider and not necessarily a hero or zero type guy (not saying that's Tomac either)

That race was fixed!!!! Tomac gave Dungey that race!!! You don't dominate like Tomac did and then with only 2 races left throw away the championship.It was so obvious that the Metlife race was fixed cause after that Dungey announced his retirement,they wanted him to retire as a champion so they gave him the championship.I'm not taking anything away from Dungey cause he's a great rider but Tomac should have won the championship.

Well the Grant situation is tricky because he didn't pull over right away when Tomac caught him the first time but to ask Grant to pull over to let Tomac have 7th on the last lap is kinda crazy because he was 8 seconds in front of him. I knew this would eventially happen. Where someone with 2 real wins would win the title. In like 08 we talked about their should be a 10 point bonus for wins. Tomac in bssic should of won 10. But 17 rounds and 9 vs 3. Which was really 10 vs 2. Then you start to think they should of had a bonus. Heck if Tomac would of just had a button starter, hed of probably won. We still have outdoors, and youd think Dungey should stay & hand the torch over. Only thing that made me a bit sour on RCs career. Is he even kind of admitted without directly saying he got out cause it was getting just to fast. Like McGrath or others he should of stayed till he lost it in battle. Reed and Dungey are a lot alike. They let titles come to them. The rest took them more so. Just Dungey had more fall into place for him then Reed. He got some breaks this year. The other years he got a bit of a break by falling into this odd gap with RV stepping out a bit early & James just loosing himself. Not to mention also this year Roczen falling out. But I do think you have The RCs and RVs, JS, McGrath, RJ, that took titles. Then you have (still vary fast) but the Reeds, Stantons, Dungeys, that get either that odd year "or years." Where things are just open for them. Although Stanton & Reed I dont think won a title with 2 or 3 wins only? So this year was vary odd for him.

Understandable points. I agree that Dungey isn't in the Top 3 or 4 all time but he's definitely in the Top 10 best of all time. I think Dungey took the titles though. 2010 was a year that nobody expected to happen, but it did. And I don't think he won that title just because RV wadded up with three rounds to go, I think he would have won it anyway. And then 2011 was a mechanical nightmare for Dungey. Easily lost both titles simply due to mechanical failures. Chain snapping at A2, Ran out of fuel at Freestone, bike wouldn't start at Southwick. He probably would have won both titles in 2011 without those problems. I know RV leaving makes Dungey look better in 2015 and 2016 but I was there in person for multiple races for every one of these years we're talking about and 2015 Dungey was miles better than 2012-2014 Dungey. When RV retired, Dungey got better by getting on board with Aldon and perfecting his program. Even today, he says he still regrets not signing with Aldon before RV did. There's just a lot of variables I think people ignore when it comes to Dungey and I guess I just don't get why. He was such a nice guy, true professional, but everyone wants to say he has all asterisk titles. I just don't think that's true.

The only way that Tomac is going to win this is with brute force. He needs to clean Dungey out and hard. Like what grant did to Malcom or harder. And do it late in the race. The odds of people actually racing Dungey is low and a mechanical is unlikely.

Not surprised by KTM at all, just thinking that it shows that Tomac really won this championship. Clearly Dungey has had nothing for him so he can only win by other people getting hurt or letting him by. No hate to any of them, I know it's happened before, just think there should be penalties on it like F1. Also think that no matter what, Tomac is the true winner of this championship because of how far he came and the fact that he's had to earn everything. Now, just hoping Smith can pull it all together to hold off Osbourne and win the championship, or really either one of them as long as it's not Savatgy. Would be awesome to see Osbourne win too, just pulling for my boy Smith!

That's literally like saying Ricky had nothing for Chad at the end of 2003 so he doesn't deserve that title. Tomac had proved multiple times that he is good a wrecking. Yeah he is scary fast but to be as fast as he is your riding on the edge of wrecking and it has happened to him several times. Who remembers the outdoor series 2 years ago Tomac had a big points lead on Dungey was Winning the race by like 16secs over dungey and he was still riding 2 seconds faster per lap than anyone on the track and what happened he wrecked and blew his shoulder out and Dungey won the championship.

Because it's happened for years doesn't make it right. Supercross needs Nascars 100% rule (the only thing Nascar has done right).

Never said anything about right or wrong. Only spoke about the reason why it happens and will continue to happen and that every team is guilty of it. To single out RB KTM is ridiculous because they are not the only factory team doing it. Also, NASCAR's 100% rule is still quite easy to skirt around if driver A wants to let driver B by. "My car is suddenly really loose off the corners, I can't get good drive down the straightaways." F1 tried a zero tolerance policy and the teams still figured out ways around it. It sucks, like I said man, I get it, but it's going to happen and us getting all up in arms about it won't change that.

Marvin shouldn't of even passed Ryan he should've just cruised around in 2nd he put himself into that situation by blowing by Ryan for the lead now he's thinking oh shit I shouldn't of did that 😂😂😂

Marvin passing Dungey was a little weird but I think he did it for two possible reasons. 1) He wanted Ryan to latch on to him so they could pull away even more since Ryan's pace was really slowing them both down... or 2) Marvin wanted to show KTM that it was his race to win so they'd pay him the win bonus (which I'm sure they will). Either reason or both is probably what happened there

True! But I think even if dungey finished 2nd and Marvin won Eli still rode terrible and I'm a tomac fan if dungey wins the title he deserves it cause champions don't crash with the lead like that.
