from what i've been told the debenhams pair are being kept up to a standard where they can be brought back into passenger service if a new tenant wants to keep them going. given their age however i'm not sure how likely that would be, depends who takes over the unit whenever that ends up happening

Epic lifts! Very kind of the staff to let you tour the motor room! Lifts themselves look really nice and clean, very similar cab design and lighting to the Athlone Town Centre main lifts now that I think about it. The call buttons on 2 have been replaced? Maybe KONE still sneakily make Sigma fixtures for replacements, then. Or it could just be new old stock. Lovely Drucegrove voice as well. The lift lobbies seem very quiet on the mall levels; do these lifts take you directly into the mall or is there like a small side room where they take you? Lots of lovely gadgets and gizmos in the motor room. The motor sounds are epic in the lifts, but up there, it's literally like a drum kit XD That pseudo floor intrigues me, I wonder is level 3 double height and they've done a Skyscrapersim and installed a floor in between to facilitate something else in the centre. Sorry for the long comment XD

Got plenty more motor room tours from the eastgate to come! Yeah they're very clean for their age, currently call buttons replaced on this set is level 4, level 3 down only, level 2 and level 1, it's good spares are still around to keep them going nicely. You can tell what's new and not by if the LEDs are very bright and if the press is clicky or kinda loose feeling. These lifts do go directly into the mall on both levels, but they aren't as immediately visible as the main lifts. They're down the corridor leading to the bridge to morrisons on 4 or the same corridor on 3 goes to the toilets. Also the rides inside the lifts were filmed quite late in the afternoon when most of the shops were already closed so very few people were still about. The stop clunks in particular are louder in the motor room than what the video does justice to, if you havent experienced something like it before you may get a jump the first few times til you get used to it XD Mall levels are double height yes, as if there's actually anything at the pseudofloor i'm quite sure its just interfloor space, no goods lifts or anything serve it and as a matter of fact the goods lifts dont have it as a pseudofloor in their logic if i recall right

Woohoo! Ah right. That makes me wonder if some of the ones at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh are replacements, well the top floor one definitely is anyway. Ah right, interesting layout. Makes filming easier I suppose. Yeah, I'd imagine hearing those brakes suddenly slamming on would give you a bit of a start XD Strange about the pseudo floor. Maybe on the controller computer you have to program in all the floor heights and altitudes, so they could have just added a floor in the double height space so they could reuse the floor parameters.

I haven't been in the harvey nichols ones in a while, mostly because i feel kinda out of place going in somewhere with people in posh suits opening the entry doors for you 😂 so i don't know whats replacements in there and not I suppose filming is kinda easier i mean it was easy getting to film when almost no-one was about but when its busy i still wouldnt put your bets on getting something uninterrupted as with the toilets right next to them on 3 they do get use Yeah the pseudofloor is strange, I don't think it could be down to needing the same gap between floors in the positioning system because the modded miconics in phase 1 have double height between 4 and 5 yet no pseudofloor (yet the lifts still somehow know its double height to decide the parameteron a particular setting they have nowadays, dont want to go further than that as that would be video spoilersssssss)

@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL Ah right. The call panel on level 4 has a new black button, and on level 1 they felt like new buttons as well. Not sure if they're replacements though as those lifts probably aren't used as much as these lifts as the store is quite small. Ahh yes spoilersssss XD. It'd be interesting to know if lift positioning systems are like skyscrapersim where you have to predefine all the floors with height parameters XD

if the LEDs look bright like new its probably a new button, whether they are still making them fresh or they have a ton of extra inventory they're using who knows. Lift positioning systems vary lift to lift you've got lester with its 2D barcode, hydroware with the tacho thingy, kone with shaft bars i think they use and then all the generics from the 90s and 2000s with good ol' ticky tape, so for each of those there's probably set info it needs to have to calculate stopping distances n things but at this point only an engineer would be able to provide useful information

Phase 2 P4 has been broken for some time now so I'm yet to get an iPhone video of that pair. It'll happen at some point no doubt but who knows when but whenever that happens that should be me able to complete the full portfolio

Mx18 for this install but found a 15 floor Mx10 (1.6m/s higher spec model, I call it Mx16 but not sure on the official name) 😂

i've heard the term MX10(16) thrown around for ones that look like an MX10 but sound more like an MX20 with the T-T-DUNK startup but i doubt thats an official term. if it still sounds like an MX10 but just goes faster i think they can do that anyway at 630kg capacity as i've seen one in a travelodge like that. I don't think there is officially an MX16

Yeah that's what I've heard in videos been given the unofficial term MX10(16) but I do wonder what it's officially called as it's an odd hybrid of the two types, and I wonder what benefits it has over the 1.6m/s MX10 that just sounds like any regular MX10. Slightly higher capacity at the top end of the speed options?

These are called as MiniSpace, as the MonoSpace doesn't require the motor room.

@@LEVCKSHK i've seen videos of MX10s in strange little motor room setups before but you wouldnt call those MiniSpaces as those would never be capable of such speeds and are clearly the lower spec. I don't see why a shopping centre would buy a model with that speed and height potential for just 4 floors

i've gonr ahead and done some more research.@@LEVCKSHK KONE MiniSpace as a model did not exist even in late 2002 as is visible on the wayback machine. Their offerings for the time that could fit into the criteria is MonoSpace Exclusive which can do 1.6m/s at 1600kg 21pers as seen here, or CitySpace which seems to also have similar or slightly greater potential.
