If you are using this on PC and bring up a program with tiles can you then use the wheel to pick between them (the circle around the ok button) or would you still need to use the air mouse function?

Does MX3 - L air mouse support voice search function? No, it doesn't. How to turn on the backlight? Pressing the "sun" button. Does it support IR learning function? Yes, it does. Why i can't use it on my Android TV box? Firstly make sure that good batteries are inserted properly. Then plug the dongle to your device you want to pair with the air mouse, wait for 20 to 60s for the dongle driver to be installed. Press "OK" and "TV" button at the same time. How to restore to manufacture default settings? Please press "TV" and "Del" buttons together for three seconds to restore to manufacture settings. My device always fails to learn from my TV remote, what can i do? Firstly please be noted your TV remote has to support NEC protocol for IR learning. Please check with your remote control manufacture to confirm this. If NEC protocol is supported, strictly follow IR learning instructions session. Keep in mind that only the power key and the four bottom IR learning keys can be programmed. Why a few keys have no function? This is a universal controller. It is normal that few keys might not be applicable to your device because of different codes by different manufacture. Why the air mouse moves very slow, or the mouse cursor disappears, or it returns wrong typing? You're suggested to replace the batteries, re-plug the dongle, and then press "OK" and "TV" button at the same time for a new pairing. How to wake up the air mouse while it goes to auto-sleep? Press any key to wake up the air mouse. Does it have CE certificate? Yes, it does.

Was thinking of getting one of those i8 touchpad keyboards, but this looks better as it can learn so I can program it to also switch Tv Box on/off and just use air mouse all the time.

All buttons work properly in my Mecool KII Pro. Just a little bit of a problem with the power button. Function to turn off only, not working to turn on. it's normal? 4 learning buttons, i'm setup for Sound Bar. Perfect.

The problem with this is it drains the batteries in 1-2weeks of usage and if you type with the keyboard you have to uncover the side with your hands or it wont send the signal to the dongle.

Does the mouse lock feature work properly on this remote? I've heard that some of these remotes (other MX3 variants) do not remember the lock status after it wakes up from sleep, and would default to mouse mode no matter what, even if you just locked it like 3 minutes ago. I'd really like to buy one if this feature works properly!

Besides the five buttons (4 color and 1 power), can other buttons be IR programmable? (that’s what the no back light MX3 version can do) If so, I can combine all my IR remote controls into one

I agree - screw the back-light if I have to trade if off for only having 4 unlabeled buttons that are programmable. The version that has all 42 buttons programmable can eliminate all of your other IR remotes. I bought one these backlight versions from Amazon and when I discovered this deficiency, I immediately returned it. For TV control functions, those buttons are essentially FAKE buttons.

@@kdanagger6894 It sounds like you're saying that if someone wanted to, they could reprogram the Page Up/Down buttons on the MX3 to to act as channel Up/Down buttons, which is where they're located on pretty much every OE TV remote... Just opposite the Volume Up/Down buttons. In addition, all of the buttons on the MX3 can be programmed, but only 5 keys on this MX3L can be reprogrammed? Sounds like a hell of a trade off to have to make just so you can have pretty lights. I'm looking for a remote similar to this, with an actual QWERTY keyboard, and the only thing I really need it to control is my Samsung Smart TV. But, I want it to be capable of everything that the TV and original remote are capable of. I don't really care if it controls any other devices, as long as it works the TV and can be used as a mouse and keyboard when I launch the built-in browser.

i bought this remote and everything is excellent, it's very responsive but only one problem...every time I move the mouse outside the tv screen area and come back it loses tracking of the position it was in and needs to be recentered by manually calibrating it, has anyone experienced that? would be good if there is a way to lock the tracking in centre.

Thats normal, and just how it is with this style of remote, you gotta just get used to it. The trick is to move your cursor to the top right corner if you are right handed and have it line up, if you over shoot you can use the opposite side to center it. Its super easy and you start doing it without thinking when you pick it up : ) only takes 1-3 seconds

If it only had ONE more programmable button. For the TV .... power, vol-up, vol-down, chan-up, chan-down, & SOURCE!! Then I could switch the TV in and out of being a monitor/TV with full functionality on both sides. :-)

I have the MXQ pro 4k android box and I can't turn it off with this remote I can reset it but when I hit the power button it turns off and is immediately back on. The only way I can shut it off is use the original remote. Have you heard of such a bizarre problem?

I would say try to reprogram it maybe, never had that issue before, maybe its sending multiple signals try blocking the sensor as soon as you press it, if that doesn't do anything then check the air mouse function maybe its causing the system to turn back on when moved, try turning it off

Voice control would have to be built into the system it self and that system usually has a remote that comes with it or are you looking for a remote with a mic in it to use google voice to type with, because even then you would need a remote that was made for its own system like the Mele F10-PRO remote (its got a gyro for games, mic & built in earspeaker for skype calls, and a built in headphone jack) or the newer Apple TVs The headphone jack is iffy on that one, and it may not work on any android system other than its own, but the audio parts of it would work.

Well I bought one. Disappointed to say the least. The airmouse cursor is so laggy as to be unusable, the keyboard works when it wants to and you can't turn on the tvbox. New batteries and fresh connection made. No change. Sent back for refund!

Infrared remotes for PC are terrible and not accurate at all. You need a USB cable extension to place the receiving infra-red usb on top of your PC monitor, even then it jumps and lags. You might as well plug either a Nintendo Wii-remote (yep they fit in a Windows PC). Or any usb lightgun if M.A.M.E. for emulation. Failing that a lap tray with wireless mouse and keyboard.
