Big thanks Robert! I do love me some Suzukis!!
@Papi1960R3 жыл бұрын
I love looking down from my big rig on I-80 and seeing you guys riding, and racing below me when I take a load into the Bay area. Then I'm jealous because I'm at work, and my dirtbikes are in Arizona. 🍻 Cheers. I built my 98 RM250 smoker into a RMX300 KTM/Beta/Husky killer with a a Eric Gorr 295cc kit ported for all round usable power, 40mm lectron, ffw, enduro protection and full lighting. If you really want to improve your Suzukis put on a set of 1996-98 49mm Showa conventional forks from a RM125-250. Still the best forks ever sold to the public. Remember ALL manufacturers went (or went back to) USD forks because they were considerably less expensive to manufacture, not because they were better. You'll get slight increase in flex that the late model RMZs could use. I have them on my 2006 CR250.

I love my Suzuki, I have the 2018 RMZ450 have all the mods: PC linkage, RG3 suspension, FPC engine mounts, Yoshi full exhaust, everything bar a high com piston and ecu. It rides and handles great! I can back up what you were saying about the mounts and how they change the feel and ride 100% - game changer!! I have watched your vid on changing fork seals etc (excellent, btw👍) and wondered if you would consider doing a vid on replacing the oil on the rear shock or even a full tear down of the shock??
@mxrevival2 жыл бұрын
Still Loving mine too. Such a great machine, and still my favorite looking bike of all of them. Enjoy showing up to the track and being the only one on a Suzuki as well. Maybe someday on the shock! I'm not set up with nitrogen or vac bleeder, so I usually just have those refreshed by legit suspension shops. I just need to invest in a little more equipment which will naturally occur if I can expand this year. Thanks for watching, and for sharing your feedback with others on your Suzuki 🔥
@wazman2-732 жыл бұрын
@@mxrevival Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked about the shock is because I am not a mechanic, but like so many of us I to am mechanically minded and not afraid to tear down the engine and do a rebuild or regrease the linkage bearings etc. So I tried on my 2010 RMZ 450 (a few years ago)to refurbish the shock/service myself and in the process of removing the piston I wrecked the bushing around the piston head, only to find out from the shock mechanic I took it to in the end, that he had made a special tool for removing the piston without damaging it etc... ( I couldn't find anything on KZbin about the pit falls and/or special tooling required). Like wise I haven't seen anyone who has refurbished the BFR shock, only a vid of one that had already been torn down. Even if you didn't have a vacum bleeder could it still be done? Nitrogen I would get my mxshop to do anyway.

Brand new to the channel and am loving it! Have you heard of anyone trying to mill down the thickness of the stock aluminum mounts and getting similar performance results? I’ve never messed with changing motor mounts but I’m assuming from everything you’ve said that the FCP mounts flex more than stock which you could probably accomplish by milling down the fat stock mounts a bit.
@mxrevival2 жыл бұрын
Glad to have you and thanks for watching! I have seen and read a little bit about guys drilling the stock engine mounts which apparently has an effect. You're right about the fcp's being thinner, by a long shot especially on the lower stays. There are some decent articles on setting the stock mounts to a different torque spec and getting a little bit more compliance out of the bike as well.

I love Suzuki, have an LTR 450 (516 big bore stroker), Suzuki outboard, had several ltz 400's, brother had 2 drz 400's. The newer king quad 750's are bulletproof. Yeah I'm a Fanboy. I like all Japanese brands to be honest. I just don't like the new Polaris atv's, the older ones are solid though when they used Subaru engines.

My lady just bought me a ‘19. Absolutely pumped to rip it. Any other tips other than the engine mounts? Also have you tried a longer lower linkage like the ride engineering?
@mxrevival2 жыл бұрын
Congrats! Honestly, getting the your suspension redone with the link is the biggest thing. The bike is pretty turn key otherwise. If you cannot find anyone local to you with experience on the bfrc shock, just shoot me an email. I'll get you pointed in the right direction with the exact same shim stack I am running. It transformed the bike. I'll do a Pro Circuit system review for everyone later. All of these parts are from my 18, so I know what they do and how much weight they shave. If you haven't checked out the entire playlist on this little Suzuki series, you might also like that!

Can I just ask why fix the worst bike on the track when you can just buy 5 other way better bikes. Suzuki’s have just been a joke, waaay behind for the last 25 + years or so
@mxrevival3 жыл бұрын
My "worst bike" comment is more of a joke. Because the bike is usually in last place and shootouts. I love this bike. I am a Suzuki loyalist to begin with, and I've had modern KTM's. They are amazing. But this Suzuki's price point at $7200 out the door VS $12,000- $13,000 for the KTM is very hard to beat. The Suzuki's price, plus it being an amazing bike, gives you lots of room to spend money on mods and still be well within budget. It's not for everybody, but it's a really great option. You should try one, you'd like it. Ken Roczen, Ricky Carmichael, & James Stewart all won championships on RMZ's not too long ago. 😉
@christopherfowler15492 жыл бұрын
25yrs, what? Suzuki had the first good running fuel injected bike back in 08. Cannondale was first, but it was an absolute turd. You should probably ride dirt bikes a little, rather than just watching test on KZbin. The RMZ is a really good bike.
