Merry Christmas. Im sure this bike will be awesome as always. Love the way your bikes turn out nice to see you doing a 4 stroke. I would love to see what you would do with a old yz250f steel frame like mine.

Why do they call it "Vapor" blasting when there is no "vapor" involved? it's just sand blasting using glass bead or aluminum oxide and adding a little water. What am I missing?

Won't cutting off the cerakote on the logos introduce corrosion? Maybe put clear cerakote on top after

You can dump loads of money and bolt on anything and everything in the process but you'll always be stuck with a close-ratio transmission with a too tall 1st gear for off-road use.
@johnrickey56313 күн бұрын
a 4 stroke o no do you people realize these machines have been killing this sport since 1998 now a dirt bike cost over 10k these days because of the pieces of crap a 2 stroke should be 5k these days but there not because of these things,I have always hated 4sucks never even rode one and never will dont need to.Keep that bike for yourself.just sayin.

53yrs old, always rode Yamaha YZ with 1 CR thrown in there. I now ride a 2022 RM-Z450 & love it. These kids that have to have E-Start are spoiled, I kick my bike every time, 1 kick hot, 2 cold. Grow some ballz & kick the damn bike!
@mxrevival3 күн бұрын
Haha! It's so not a problem, right? I get a laugh as we all love old two strokes, which are all kick start. But it never even comes up as an issue in that case...
@VMX1453 күн бұрын
Narrow minds, narrow thinking. How about those of us with worn out knees, knee replacements that were perhaps not as expertly installed as one would expect. Or the convenience of the button when stalled out in a precarious spot on the trial? E-buttons are not just for lazy folk.
@ghpjerry3 күн бұрын
@@VMX145 If your knees are so bad and/or health issues that keep you from kick starting the bike (It's easy btw), you wouldn't/shouldn't be riding anyway.

@@ghpjerry that is just as stupid as anything I have ever seen posted on the internet. You quit when you want, I guess Doug Henry (who can still out ride you) should be sitting in his living room watching TV based on your flawed logic

I really enjoy that shock modeled in my personal Rmz. I’ve got my eye on one for this Build… definitely love how skinny the bike is. A lot like the two stroke still in that regard. But I do love the colors ha ha

I currently have a 2019 rmz250 that I built to race gncc and surprisingly enough you really don’t have to do that much to make the Suzuki a already awesome bike the mods I have is having my front and rear suspension revalved and resprung for my weight, ride engineering soft polymers for handlebars, rekluse radius x automatic clutch, devol engineering transformer pull rod for rear linkage, ims big gas tank, I personally liked the 19inch rear wheel vs the 18, fmf exhaust, cycra skid plate with linkage guard, and cycra hand guard shields, also tusk wheels and tusk t35 tires. The Suzuki is a awesome bike and very reliable setup correctly I’ve rode all other brands and the Suzuki is still my favorite

@Mac_Simiser5 күн бұрын
I would be happy with a 4 cell battery, electric fan, Rekluse Torq Drive clutch kit, off road centric suspension(BFRC should shine off road) and maybe an 18" rear wheel, but that is last on the list.

besides a a 2t 300cc motor? kidding, but kinda not. You're gonna have to tame it or it'll buck way hard, make it a lugger! ECU, flywheel weight, frame/linkage/swingarm guards (and any other guard you can think of), bark busters, pull straps, bigger tank, maybe bigger rads? 18in rear wheel, Mousses, E-start (but don't delete the kickstart!), and soft serve ice cream for suspension.

Suzuki needs to make something akin to the CRF-X and the WR.
@mxrevival3 күн бұрын
They must not have had good sales when they did, I loved my 2017 RMX. And it looked amazing.
@lw39183 күн бұрын
@mxrevival No Suzuki hasn't made major changes but I've heard the motor is bulletproof. Buy nobody likes the newer rear shock.
For GNCC type off road you don’t need headlights or taillights, the kickstand is unnecessary and the stock shock is perfectly fine for off-road. Average riders can tell the difference between that shock and the common shock. Auto clutch is a must.

Just out of curiosity, how many parts does the previous gen RMZ/RMX450 engine share with the current gen? I think the RMX had a transmission designed for off road use, I wonder if you could drop those gears into this bike if the cases and such in the bottom end are basically the same? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Merry Christmas!

The power the weight ratio on this RMZ is insane! The DRZ 400 weighing so much is wild to me. I have a DRZ-250 and it has electric and kick start, a 6th gear, and it’s pretty fun off road. Trails are pretty tight around here but I bet a light 450 would be gnarly. Wish they still made the RMX!

Seems like they went through some hard times starting around 2008 with their motorcycles. I think they had a bankruptcy on the automotive side, but finally did discontinue the merger between marine and motorcycles, splitting them back up. Pretty cool to see a new DRZ from the ground up this year too. That tells me they are still making new motorcycles!
