@@midnightvibes5485agreed. Not gonna say it’s the best optimized game, but I’ve very, very rarely crashed. It’s been quite stable for me the last year or so. Beta test was the only time I had a lot of issues. For reference, I have an RX6800 GPU and 5800X CPU, and 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz ram and the game is on an SSD. I’m not sure what my ping is, but internet download speed is ~100Mb/s. I’ve got a decent computer, but nothing crazy.

I always felt like Havoc is a counterpart of Weaves from VM2: a "ranked" mode with skill-based difficulty. But they did seem to know what was wrong with Weaves and fixed it: it doesn't have its own progression track (so you can rock the builds you like without having to grind it again), no tacked on bonus stats tree, no bullshit objective, just a pool of maps from regular play. A Chaos Wastes counterpart would take a ton of effort to make (making the new bits of maps, all the new dialogue, balancing the randomized buffs and modifiers), but I feel Fatshark should further polish the game, not just to make the roguelike mode even better, but also cause it's gonna take a lot of time to make it.

I want to be able to rub it in their face for 2 seconds that I did 150k damage and they did 148k. It's silly fun. @@kwm1995 This. The vast majority of players aren't actually mature enough for a scoreboard. As said it's a team-based cooperative based around a team being in synergy. Arbitrary metrics like 'most kills' actually mean literally dick without context and context is the domain of thinkers. I know most people probably don't like being referred to as stupid but unfortunately most people are. It's just how it is. Thinking is however, a choice.... It's within peoples hands to at least try to remedy it.

13:50 thats actually kinda funny, Dukane is exactly who I pegged for a role like that when I use my darktide characters in my writing exercises (college crap). They get sent down for "patrols" in the underhives. The vague idea being that they know there's some kind of Warp rift somewhere in the hive, but it must be buried cause they've got no readings consistent one anywhere in orbit. So they're using rejects as a way of sort of mapping it out. Wherever they fall off the map is likely to have some kind kf enemy strongpoint. Send a few thousand of them down, 4 at a time and you start to get an alright picture of the area.

Would love to see Darktide get a version of Chaos Wastes. With Havoc just coming out I doubt we'd see this get added until mid-late next year at the earliest unless they are willing to iron out both new modes at the same time or if they can iron out Havoc really fast. With that, I'd also guess we still wouldn't see a new class until right before or after Darktide Chaos Wastes comes out. A new class would have a bunch of new unique weapons and having a new mode for existing and new players would be a great incentive to start from scratch. Like you said about Chaos Wastes, the only thing you take into it is your level but there are a ton of opportunities to try new skills, weapons/blessings through mechanics in that mode. In Verm 2 I used Chaos Wastes (in private with friends) as a way to level up the different characters that I didn't have at max yet and found that more fun than grudging them through the main game.

I assumed that was the point of the second hive they keep talking about. Probably in another year... Now how about just add some path variety to old maps. Just take the maps they already made. And cut bits out. Then make a new path to connect the sections. And replace randomly. That way map variety gets expanded a lot without the work of an entire new map. Like yes I like new maps. But I more so want the old ones to feel less repetitive. And while that will eventually catch up again. It really will give them a longer shelf life.

no, at the time that FS launched v1 they were a really small company, v1 was very barebones. I think the success of that game gave them the funding they needed to make a better game so they quickly made v2 as an improvement to the v1 formula. I dont really see how they could be improving upon darktide yet, theres no sequel needed. I would love to see them do a game outside of the warhammer universe and go really wild with it, no games workshop limitations.

I like new stuff to play with or play in or customize with i just dont like all the temporary stuff.
