🎻 my 1 year violin progress 🎶

Here's my 1 year violin progress! 🎻 I'm so happy to have taken this path last year in January 2023... It's truly amazing how hard work really pays off and how progress is truly inevitable! Music is a really important part of my life, as it is for many people out there, sometimes words can't express how much I love it 💗
Please don't mind my hair or outfits, I really do get comfortable at home when playing lol

To try helping with long slurs with several notes, divide your bow into how many notes you need to play in that slur. For example, let's say you have to do a slur with A, G and E. Divide the first one third for the A note, and so on. Just make sure you leave a little "safety net" when you divide your bow incase you run out on one of the notes. One trick I do with my students is put stickers on the bow to help with dividing it! Hope this helps and good job!

I enjoyed watching your progress video. It was nice to watch one that seemed realistic and honest. I just saw another one where the person was playing Gavotte nearly perfect after 5 months. I just found it hard to believe. Its far more enjoyable to see real progress in a timely manner. Keep up the great work

@@giuliaingmajor What I mean is that I saw a 1 year progress video from another KZbin channel. It didn't seem real. I Think that person showed two years of playing but said it was one year. Your videos seem more honest. I hope to watch more of your progress in the future😊👍

I am 6 months in playing Gavotte in 2nd book. I am having such a difficult time getting it right, and I practice like 3 hours a day. Teacher said there are a lot of new techniques in this song. I understand what you are saying.

Amazing when I haven't played for a while ( a couple of months) , I sound jus like you're bringing sections. I'll then soud decent after a week's time.. I need to continue practicing as I should.. Jus continue playing with more practice, and progress will show.. This is how we all learn and not given. Proud of your dedication 👏 here..

Great video! I was thinking of learning the violin but I’m not sure I will because it seems very hard and I don’t want to pay for something I won’t make progress in. You made lots of progress though!

Thank you!! 🙏 It is a hard instrument but very fulfilling, don’t let that hold you back! And progress will happen, of course it won’t be linear, you will be frustrated and want to give up (trust me I wanted to many times 🥲) but it is inevitable. As long as you have the patience, consistency and love for it, I think you’re on the right track 😊 If it’s available, you can try doing a trial lesson!
