Hey Browney! Haha mate I am amazed you can keep your composure like you do! Very mature of you - where as at some points I'm close to throwing tools - which isn't great, but makes for a funny look back at things! Agree - too many car KZbins skip over the stuff ups and challenges us DIY hacks face. Hopefully the transparency you show in your vides (and the muck ups in mine) help make folks feel a little more comfortable when things don't quite work out!

Gamiseta file! Some pretty big stuff ups which I can relate to, blowing up my wrx engine in Greece which I could have prevented. Plus the niggly ones with dropping bolts or small tools down the engine bay never to be found again. Also the oil and cutting things out the wrong way all come to mind. I love your sense of humour and how you take it on the chin. I usually punch things and end up in hospital with fractured hands, fingers and knuckles! Thanks heaps for including my channel in the list! I highly appreciate it!!

Sounds like you have had some similar experiences. But jeez i have never ended up in hospital - you don't do things by halves! I am and always will be a hack, and cars are a hobby so cant take it too seriously! congratulations on hitting over 1000 subs (1.17k of the time of this comment) the only "meatball" I've had with my car, was my very first car a 1997 Nissan Pulsar. Spent a couple of days, cut and polishing, making it look mint, the some lady t-boned me. Ah well.

Haha thanks mate - ah yeah takes my sweet time to go from filming to editing to posting these days (reckon my next vids might be a bit simpler..) Oh man those little pulsars were rippers! That it a pretty full on story man!! I use to get fired up when people would touch my windows after i cleaned them, let alone getting written off after a couple of days detailing...bugger!! I hope you haven't had any spills in the interior from all the food reviews! We have more KFC wipes if you need em ;)

where do you get the 90 degree fuel sender wire elbow mate ? i cannot find the complete loom or elbow anywhere.

G’day Steve! Mate i have no idea - and id dearly love to find out too! There are a couple of those elbows in the engine bay wiring that need attention on my car. The fuel sender loom luckily was already in tact on mine. Maybe one of the GT shops might know, or maybe we can get some from Jaycar?

G'day Steve - ah so you found all my stuff ups, hope you got a laugh or two! That block is a virgin 302 Clevo. I bought it nearly complete and stripped it down and sold off the heads, pistons, rods and other bits and pieces. I have a Scat 393 rotating assembly under the bench which will end up in the block to go in the Fairmont one day. It's all been sitting there for a few years, but will slowly keep accumulating the bits needed for it. Will probably build it once my young bloke is grown up a bit and we use the car more - hard to justify the outlay at the moment as she is gathering a fair bit of dust!! Cheers! Marc
