I haven’t picked up much this year. I was a sneaker hoarder. I had like 200 pairs, just stacked up in my closet. But I broke the bad habit by letting a lot of them go; and I currently have around 30 pairs now. My favorite pick up this year has to be the black toe lows. I wear them all the time now. Not picked up a huge amount this year but the NMD S1 Philllthy, A MA MANIERE Jordan 2, Adidas Forum 84 High NY vs NY and ZX 8000 Krustys are my favourites. It's also nice to see you pick sneakers from outside of this year. Your love for the foamposites is clear.

2023 has been the single greatest year in sneaker release history objectively speaking and it is understandable since it is 23 the year of MJ and the last release of YZY. The rubber does crack on Jordan 1s. They don’t disintegrate like Jordan 3s or 4s but they can have cracks in them

For me it's been quite a mediocre year for great releases. It feels like, since Virgil's passing, no one has created the same level of anticipation or volume of releases as Off White did. 2023 has felt flatter than a pair of Vapormax after you've just walked on broken glass.

A cool idea for a video. I tend to agree with Rose Anvil that the 4 is like a toy shoe, so you’ve gotta soup them up to make one really worth picking up IMO, and that’s what the SB’s do. Not for me, but I’d probably be all over them if I were a serious skater. Favorites I’ve picked up: • An Air Max 2090 colorway called “The Future Is In The Air” which I haven’t found for my size until this year and got them for a good price too. Insane looking colorway.. • The Zoom Flight 95, one of my favorite basketball sneakers ever, came out with a colorway this year which for me is perfect, it’s the “football grey” one which is actually just white/black patent leather, and then the parts which I guess they call grey actually aren’t at all, they’re kind of iridescent. Love the shoe and need to double up especially since nobody is buying that silhouette right now. • Air Max 1 Worldmake Korea. The colorways they’ve been putting out of the 1 hadn’t really grabbed me but when I saw this I had no choice but to pick them up, and no regrets the quality is crazy, they look classy, it’s such a unique 1, and has just been such a standout for me this year.

My top sneaker that I picked up this year is Nike SB x Born and Raised collab. So much detail in the sneaker and the materials are buttery. Other than that I think I scooped 14 other sneakers this year. Not all from 2023, like A ma Maniere 3’s and Lost and Founds. Good year though. I will finish the year off with the A Ma Maniere 5’s. (The white pair.)

I have a recommendation. You should do wear test where every month you pick a pair of shoes and wear it everyday for a whole month and check the durability, comfort and every aspect of the pair of shoes you chose and summarize everything at the end of the month.
