I was wondering when you were going to get to Achillea...aka Yarrow here in the states, it's wonderful. I like that Greek Cress, haven't seen it before and Golden Rod grows like a weed all over where I live here on Maryland's eastern shore. Now we want to video of you putting some bouquets together using your favorites =^)

Herbs! Are amazing filler flowers. Dark purple opal basil and Thai basil were wonderful. And they had a pleasing aroma. I want to grow gomphrena, strawflowers and zinnias. But I love your idea to use more perennials. I've never seen atumn joy sedum in a bouquet it makes sense it would look lovely. Thank you

Alchemilla Mollis is such a fab plant. I am busy dividing mine So good as a dried flower and went into my early boquets as a filler. You can't gave enough of it Top of the Hill Flower Farm, Ireland

Still referring to this wonderful video a year later while I order seeds for next year. This summer my favorite fillers have been feverfew (matricaria) “Virgo”- dainty, elegant and looks great with foxglove. Also annual monarda “Lambada” it’s odd & fluffy but everyone seems to love it-the honey bees most of all. Thank you so much making these fun, friendly and interesting videos!

I LOVE this! The last few times you said you were growing Limonium I’ve wanted to stop and research but was too busy! Turns out, I’d already started it from seed! Lol I didn’t realize you were talking about what I call Statice. Thank you for the helpful list and for using the botanical name as well! I’ve never been a fan of some of these. I have some sedum, yarrow and Alchemilla Mollis (?) but never thought to use them in bouquets! Thank you so much this has been so helpful!!!! 💚

Well I usually call it statice but for the video I thought I’d call it limonium for some reason 😂 it’s funny how different people pick up the different names common name or Latin!

Yarrow or achillea is a great filler, and it gets bonus points for being a perennial. Any perennial saves both money and time.

My garden the building of an ecosystem that supplies useful products, AKA forest garden (not food forest). So I've don't some research. I'm of the opinion that every garden needs Amaranth. It's a super useful plant. Flowers, pollinator attraction, edible leaves (entire plant actually), edible grain for flour and cereal, plant fiber for twine/rope making, Pigment for dying cloth. What's there not to like? Needs a warm summer for domesticated varieties though. I'm trying to get a patch of the wild version going (Lambs quarter aka red rooted amaranth), plus experimenting to see if I can find a domesticated version that will grow here.

I’m gonna sow Dara for the first time this year... gonna be growing it outside since I don’t have a poly tunnel. Hope I don’t have the same experience as you as I fully expect to have a LOT of carrot root fly as we have a woodland right next to the veg patch and it’s full of cow parsley, which hosts carrot root fly... 🤔 Though the cow parsley doesn’t seem to struggle at all. Maybe gonna try chucking some enviromesh over it until it gets going.

I love them all you mentioned a few that I was not familiar with Which was nice I noticed that you don't have any Queen Anne's lace which would be a really lovely alternative and they grow so well wildly though they're very similar to some of the things that you have in the greenhouse I think they're so elegant I love Astors also because they're very good accents especially if you're doing kind of wild flower mix I made a puppy out of carnations and laid the puppy in a basket which was a bed of wildflowers including Solidago They were purple white asters and then the yellow somewhere a little more towards the green somewhere a little bit sparse and others were a little more full but it really made a beautiful arrangement

Really enjoyed seeing your fillers, you grow & do some lovely flowers … I do love growing Orlaya, Ammi majus I’ve also grow Daucus carota 'Purple Kisses' Mix, Pimpinella major 'Rosea' I just love them round the garden bronze fennel fills in well as well as asparagus fern … glad I found your Chanel it’s nice seeing flowers farmers in the uk & what you’re growing I just love doing my own flowers for indoors

Ahh yes I love orlaya too but somehow I don’t have any this year! I also never grow ammi as it doesn’t do well in the field unfortunately! I have some asparagus fern in the tunnel it’s great but I always forget to pick it!

Im beginning to love perennials that are not full of stickers and nutsedge....but out dry and heat kills any with beautiful flowers..im.tired of having to hand water to.see them die. I out in a system and it didnt help so i had to add shading...which was a real pain too. At 80 this stuff gets tiring.as hell. Golden rod is a favorite but i have had zero luck getting it started ...it does grow wild here so i sneak cut some usually. I have love lies bleeding an amarantus too...self seeds pretty good here too.

For whatever reason my yarrow didn’t really do well this year. It was year one for those plants so I am hoping for a better showing this year. Any tips on how close or far to plant them? Do I need to stake them? Maybe more fertilizer? Help please! 🤞🤞

I’m sure theylll do better next year when their roots have bulked up a bit! I don’t stake mine and I think they’re planted 12 inches apart.

What variety of goldenrod do you use? I use lots of daucus, cress, attriplex, lace flower, cinnamon basil, holy basil, opal basil and ornamental oregano. I live in the south in the United States and goldenrod can be invasive but I’d love to grow some to use in fall bouquets. I’ve got the seed for many colors of statice to grow. I love amaranth as well but hate the pests that destroy the leaves. Have you used any buckwheat or quinoa? Thanks

I think the variety of golden rod is ‘golden baby’ which is a smaller variety. I’ve never tried buckwheat or quinoa but they sound like the sort of thing I would like to have a go at?
