Erin, you are Monsanto’s worst nightmare. 😂 Putting seeds out into the world and sharing your product and knowledge to empower budding plant breeders is unheard of in today’s day and age. Let’s hope this inspires breeders in the crop realm as well! I commend you for sharing this with everyone. I live on a farm and we feel the exact same way about selecting, breeding and caring for our animals as you do about your flowers. The more people understand the blood, sweat and tears that all types of farmers put into their products the more they may respect and value those products and the people behind them. Keep at it - you’re amazing!!! 🌸

What does Monsanto have anything to do with this? So random.
@katharinavonfreeden83464 ай бұрын
@@thedivide3688 Monsato forces farmers to pay for seeds year after year. It is not allowed to keep part of the harvest and sow it yourself the following year. Originally, this was a core competency of farmers

@@katharinavonfreeden8346 Well farmers are buying a patented crop seed with Monsanto. They don’t have to. The advantage of Monsanto’s disease resistant and pest resistant seed means higher yield for the farmer and consistent yields equating to more money less work and pain which justifies the cost of buying the patented seed.

In 2023 my sister and I spent a great deal of the first 8 months of the year going back and forth from where we live in south King County to Granite Falls to get my mom and then head to Mt Vernon for pre op, surgery with a hospital stay and then post op appts. During her hospital stay I stayed at my folks home in our RV and went back and forth to the hospital each day. I can’t tell you how many times I thought about you and the beautiful flowers you grow. My love of Zinnias came from first seeing yours only a couple of years ago. Your flowers bring so much happiness to so many people. Your joy in seeing your vision come to fruition is inspiring. Congratulations and best wishes for a productive 2024.

Erin, I don't understand the flower seed industry like you and many other people do other than as the end-result box store consumer but, from my perspective, what you have created is the 'farmer's market' type of setting for flower seeds. For those of us who no longer want to just buy what's on the shelf and are looking for a healthier more beautiful option you have closed the gap and have provided us with an option. My mind can't comprehend what you have accomplished but I know my wife and I are excited about it and can't wait to see these beautiful flowers growing in our garden. Thanks!
