I will show my favorite live albums, after Christmas Love Rory, love the Bruce Live, have it. That Winwood looks really good. I have that Procol album. Wow! Paris is a classic. Great to see so much relatively new music making it's way among your favourites! I still have a bunch of very long-time favourites like Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out, It's Too Late to Stop Now, Waiting For Columbus and Stand In The Fire (Warren Zevon), but one of my current favourites is Cat Power recreating Dylan's 1966 concert.

That Cat Power album is so good..great choice and I made a big error leaving Waiting For Columbus out..totally slipped my mind..

The ones I'm listening to most currently are (somewhat in order): Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit - Live from the Ryman (could be Vol. 2) Free - Free Live! Fleetwood Mac - Boston Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus Billy Strings - Live Vol. 1 Neil Young - Live Rust Dave Matthews Band - The Central Park Concert Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band - Live at the Hammersmith Odeon Rory Gallagher - Check Shirt Wizard Gov't Mule - The Deepest End The Allman Brothers Band - One Way Out Taking just one per artist, else it would be too much Mule and ABB 😊 Supertramp would have been in there a few years ago.

Damn..I forgot Waiting For Columbus..top 10 for sure..I always leave one behind..
@dr.s.4 күн бұрын
@GlenKellawayfromthebasement don't worry, there are so many, you always have to forget at least one. I just realised that I forgot Rock of Ages by The Band.

I'll get back to on this, as per usual, Glen. It will be a bit of a strange looking list because some of my favourite live albums are pretty obscure or of a personal nature. Everything I list will be things I have in physical format (CD) though.
@GlenKellawayfromthebasement4 күн бұрын
Look forward to seeing your choices..I have a strong feeling I will love the list..

This was very tough but here goes... 1) The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East 2) Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus 3) Johnny Winter And Live 4) Widespread Panic - Club Soda, Montreal 9/8/97 5) thexWho - Live at Leeds 6) Eva Cassidy - Live at Blues Alley 7) moe. - Barrymore's 11/12/03 8) Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere ... 9) Steven Wilson - Home Invasion in Concert at The Royal Albert Hall 10) Gov't Mule - Live....With a Little Help From Our Friends -Collectors Edition 11) John Mayer Trio - Try! 12) Steve Rothery Band - Live in Rome That was tough. It is subject to change at any moment. Cheers!

Checked out those ‘Close To The Edge’ guys and they do have a pleasant vibe. They are Irish so not UK unless Northern Irish, but they don’t have a classic Northern Ireland accent. Have you ever checked out ‘CosmicVinyl’? He goes under the name of ‘Cosmic Brian’ and revues lots of 60’s and 70’s psychedelic rock, soul, funk and jazz stuff, much of it quite obscure, but good. He might have something you like. Very different presentation to the Irish guys.
