This poor mother has to be commended, BUT the sea will always get the better of us. I was a junior lifeguard and progressed to a senior lifeguard in the 70s, 80s and 90s. There were plenty of us, but not enough to babysit every single person. The sea will always claim victims however safe you make it. The stupidity is astounding as there are signs all over parts of the coast I worked along, but there are always people who totally ignore them. My only grandchild is 19 months and has had two swimming lessons per week since he was one month old. He knows how not to swim away from a riptide and can now swim like a pro, underwater is his favourite, he’s like a fish. People need to find out for themselves about drowning prevention courses, we’re an island nation ffs 🤦🏻‍♀️

Absolutely ridiculous comments.. This woman has lost a child.. She is a NHS worker, most probably saving lives while her own daughter was dying in a freak accident. She's trying to bring about change through her tragedy... Tattoos do not determine her capabilities as a parent, however to address it... if you look at the pictures she doesn't have tattoos in the pictures with her children. For all we know it's a henna design on her neck... If that's what you're more focused on then you need to self reflect. She came across beautifully in that interview.

1. Her daughter was with her dad and his family while this mother youre offending, was at work. 2. The mother is a nurse who works endless hours at a hospital.
