Solid Gold Aquatics I heard in Japan it's also called the wakin Funa type(because the term Funa means any fish in the order carassius)

I'm so happy that you got a common goldfish. It seems like that they aren't very well represted in the goldfish community. While they seem basic, I personally feel that they can be very beautiful fish.

Common Fancy Goldfish were my favorite when I had them.. and still are! I m not very into other variations since I think the normal ones (or common as you say) are already beautiful enough :) Never been a fan of her butterfly telescopes (because I dont like those big eyes.. I like normal eyes).. but I do watch her because of her passion for fish (I m in the hobby too after all and I like seeing fish related videos)

I know a Comet isn't a Common goldfish (obviously haha) but after keeping fancies for almost two years and having my very own Tancho Comet for 6 months, she is my all time favourite, so big, pretty and healthy!

m not a lover of fancy goldfish i am more in to new world cichlids but the videos that you have posted till now have a great deal of information regarding raising and caring of these beautiful fancy goldfish.. your dedication for fancy variety is what i really do appreciate and your channel is really helpful for those who are intrested or keeping the fancy ones...

lonely wolf you should get a couple, just for the hell of it, when I was in high school I had some Red Cap lionheads in a 55 next to the Managuense in a 100, my primary fish after 30 years now is my goldfish in planted aquariums, spent a lot of money a whole summer's worth on those lionheads but I just had to have them because of a picture in the Axelrod Encyclopedia, kinda like I just had to have the Managuense.

For a few names, could you do some inspired by Japanese foods? For an example, Ramen, Mochi, Rice, Sushi, etc. Others that probably aren’t Japanese (I’m to lazy to google) are wasabi, kimchi, and many others. Hope you read this comment and consider it!

I love watching your videos. I 3 years ago saved goldfish from my biology class who my teacher was just going to toss. And I can honestly say that I am truly glad that that I did. They are all about 3-4 inches big now, and some grew some of the most beautiful tails. However, when I first got them I knew little to nothing and I’m so so glad that one of my friends told me about your page. I’ve learned so much. Truly have turned this into one of my hobbies. Am planning to now invest in a 300 gallon for my little guys.

I don't think I could ever keep goldfish again. Right now I'm just happy to have a healthy dumbo betta in my 45 gallon, his only "companion" a very fat nerite snail. Watching your videos makes me think of all the good times I had in the goldfish hobby.

Hi, new subscriber here. I have watched you off and on for a while, but I’m not really into the fancy Goldfish. I’m so happy you got some Wakin and a common goldfish! I have 2 wakin and one common, that I kept in my pond, until the weather began to change, now they’re in my 46 gallon bowfront for the winter. I think they are underrated in the aquarium community, and I thank you for spotlighting them! Be careful of predators though, I lost a whole pond full to raccoons once because I forgot to put their “cave” back into the pond one night after doing maintenance on the pond. Now I cover with wire netting to protect them.

So I am still learning and watching videos before I make a leap and start a tank. I just watched one on how to set-up a betta fish. Grin. After watching yours I was like... What about size, water testing water or flow and care of the tank? Your videos are so clear and explain everything to were I get it and understand it enough to do myself. This one they just filled floated the fish for 15 min and done. I think she used straight tap water and only a heater.. You are amazing!

Would love to see a picture, whites are somewhat rare, I have a white lionhead named Fuu, she's always hungry and will search for food all day, yeah instinctively does what she should be doing. I also have two white Orandas though not platinum, lemoncaps named JB and Moonshine. I also have though not all white have a Tancho Shukin named Amy.

Can’t wait to see when you put them in the pond. Question, what will you use to keep predators out of the pond? My dad had a heron that wreaked havoc on his pond when he first set it up. Oh and a raccoon but we could never catch him in the act.
