Hey ya'll, sorry the color looks a bit weird here. We recently had a chance to play with a Canon C300 which is what we used to shoot this video. It was just a fling though! We've since switched back to using our tried and true GH4. Also, I understand the price-to-performance gains of Threadripper over any i9, but the Intel CPU was a sample that would otherwise go unused, and I'd like to keep the few TR samples I have to use in future projects. I really like the Canon C300 but you have to work with the colors. I use Sony now but still prefer Canon colors, needs a lot of work though but plenty of LUTS available.

Try using the Wide DR gamma setting on the C300. Also, you may find using a blue filter helps as well. The wide DR gamma adds another stop of latitude, give or take, in the highlights compared to those of standard profiles.

About the psu, you should maybe consider 1000+ Watts because der8auer overclocked that CPU AMD Tested its Power needs with Liquid nitrogen, and it needed 1000 Watts, so with Water you should maybe need for the CPU something like 600 Watts + GPU etc. But nice build Overall :)

I'm bothered why he didn't use a 1080ti tbh. Simply because the Vega 64 is a total ripoff. Extremely power hungry and the price to performance compared to the 1080 and 1080ti is just complete fucking ass. I'd only ever go as high as an RX 580 for AMD video cards. After that its Nvidia's game. At least for now.

Kudos for using more original components, that is, choosing the 7960X and vega 64. I think most people would have hopped on the threadripper + 1080ti bandwagon, which is an admittedly better choice for most people, but it made for a good video.

Why use vega which has more bugs, more issues and is less widely explored by enthusiasts. It's especially weird since the computer you're using it in is an editing rig, the thing that enables you to edit videos and make money. Wouldn't you want a rock solid tried and tested card like the 1080ti? It just seems a little careless to choose a more speculative option for a component which essentially creates your revenue stream.

Hey Kyle! Loved the video, great stuff and I’ve never seen the case before so I thought that was quite interesting. One thing though… while you were talking in the beginning and the unigine heaven benchmark was running on the background monitor, it felt like I was gonna throw up because I was focusing on your head and the benchmark was moving so fast. Maybe try to find something that just moves slower if you want that monitor right behind your head.
