I've recently got back into reading, and I've been LOVING IT. I used to be a big reader when I was younger, but the older I got I allowed everyday life distract me from the beauty of books. I've been trying to take a break from social media as a form of entertainment, and have turned to books. I wanted a way to feel entertainment without the anxiousness and overstimulation that the internet can bring. Reading has been so grounding and calming for me. So grateful to have found my way back to reading ❤

It' OK That You're Not OK by Megan Devine. LIFE CHANING. It's a book about grief and the messed up culture around grief here in the US. You might be thinking, but I'm not grieving anything right now. OK, well you might not be now, but one day you will be. And one day someone close to you will be. We all know people who are going through or will gro through the loss of someone significant. This book is revolutionary in how to cope with our own grief and how to support those we know who are grieving. It is a whole new approach and makes SOOOO much more sense than the five stages, which expects people to go through these five neat little stages of grief and just be down with being sad or devastated. Get it, read it. It's good.
