Here’s a video of me fixing up my 67 Alaskan camper. I’ve wanted one of these for at least 10 years and I finally found one in great condition. It came on the little trailer, and it’s perfect to wheel around to work on. It’s goes down for traveling. I plan on fixing it up just a bit more and camping in it this summer. It will be going on a 97 Dodge Ram 3500 dually with a Cummins.
My fenders are 93.8” wide. The camper jacks with extensions are 94” wide. I’d like 2-3” per side so I can load the camper on and off the truck easier.
More videos to come as the progress goes on.

It looks awesome and I can't wait to see what improvements you make! I am just learning about these hard-side popups and am smitten!

Yes I am curious too, how do you tie down your camper. Im looking at one now, but can't figure it out. Need input please.

Thanks trying to get it ready to enjoy. What part of WA are you in? We are in eastern wa. How do you tie the camper down to your dodge? Do you have a propane bottle in your camper? If so where is it at

Working All Day , we are west of Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula. We have been using bed stake pocket hold down brackets with turnbuckles that work but are not my favorite. The setup on our old Ford is better, it had a bar that went side to side mid way on the front of the bed and allowed the turnbuckle to pull from a lower point and was much more stable. For propane we use the small green bottles to save space, easy to store, refillable with an adapter and our stove is really the only thing that uses it because we have a diesel heater that is really efficient.

@@workingallday8194 Hi! Here in Mohave desert close to Yucca, Arizona. I just purchased a 1969 Alaskan Camper 10' non cab-over. Would you please direct me to any sites you have discovered to order parts? I heard that you have to makeshift most parts by hand which I will expect to do as well. This is my first ever camper of any kind and could use just a little guidance😁 Thank you! Lisa🌵 Hope your restoration is going smooth👍 I have subscribed to see more💯👍

My camper came with extra lights and windows seals. I contacted Alaskan campers (still in business in WA) for the main seal in between the upper and lower half. I used vintage trailer supply.com for my last trailer fix up. I’m not restoring this thing just making it useable! Post a video of your project

I just bought the same one yesterday. A bit more beat up than yours, but I'm handy with fixing things too. How much does yours weigh, by the way?

Do you have your Alaskan usable yet ? May I ask the price range of an older camper like you have ?

I have not used the camper yet. But I love looking at it in the shop. Older Alaskan campers are 1500-3000 ish with out water damage

That would be reasonable. But I am guessing that they would be difficult to find in Mississippi ? ? ? I travel all over as a freight hauler .
