Glad to see there are still enthusiasts keeping these machines alive. Nice T/A sir can't wait to see a smoky burnout with all that torque melting the tires off!!!

You can also clean them and use a small propane torch. Don't hold it to close but it will blow your mind. Makes the plastic look like new.

Beautiful ride! I found one like that in a field sinking in the dirt. It still had the 455 and 4spd in it. The owner absolutely would not sell it. I hated seeing it that way, seeing your car makes me think how awesome that car would have been. Thanks for posting this video nice eye candy and keep them birds Alive!!

There's a fellow out here in my home town with roughly 50 classic cars rotting away in the Texas desert. Ranging from Bel-Air's, cudas, slit bumper Camaros, a few Trans AMs, mustangs and Novas. I've hit him up for some parts and he literally came out with a shotgun and said "nothing's for sale here son, better keep it moving" yet no signs of any kind to reading to keep out. It just breaks me to see so much potential go to waste.

Thats a cannonball run car, absolutely stunning. The car and I are about the same age and that charger is winning that race by a huge margin, it can run the way it could straight out the factory I can't run up my door steps 😳 so it's looking like it will easily out live me. Beautiful car bud and your friend Steve is a lucky man.

Thank you! I’m reposting the charger video in a minute because I forgot to put video footage of the engine in there! Can’t believe I did that at least I caught it’ early! I’m a couple years older than that Trans Am

@@RudysWorldOfficial well I would share a birthday with anything late 67 buddy, when am I going to see this cuda buddy you got me all moist and walked away, ghe door cards turned out good on the trans am, I always remember my stepdad well my dad teaching me early to keep out the spray booth if I had been cleaning my car with anything especially silicon spray as it messed with the job. Nearly dropped an f bomb there, will you be bringing a hint of gold to the wheels when you change the screaming chicken on the hood buddy?
@RudysWorldOfficial3 жыл бұрын
@@2rueblue Ha ha pretty soon! We’ve had lots of rain here lately but hopefully I can take it out of the garage one day this week and start filming. The Trans Am actually had silver honeycombs from the factory even though it had the gold bird and stickers. The limited addition and special additions though they got the gold wheels. This one will look pretty cool when it’s finished I’ve seen one done exactly the way it should be and I love it!
@2rueblue3 жыл бұрын
@@RudysWorldOfficial I was going to suggest wrapping the wheels rather than painting them, if done properly I can last a couple of years as momh ad you are careful. I guess someone has already did this but what about using the clear protective film on the wheels that really would keep them in the finish you eventuality get. Before I signed the paperwork on my car I made sure they refurbished all 5 of my wheels, I wished had got my wheels wrapped in clear finish they would be easier cleaned

i have the original cassette player and it actually works, I love the old alpine stereos, I've got tons of old cassettes, makes me feel like I'm back in the 80s, those old cassette players are hard to find

Exactly, some guy on Facebook was saying I should just put a iPod in the car. I’m like are you kidding? Yeah that’s cool but it defeats the whole purpose!

Your daughter is going to have cassette tapes?? I don’t think kids even know what cd’s are anymore. Nice car and great build plan. I have an ‘81 trans am that looked like the bandit addition but wasn’t. Drove it for a few years before getting in wreck and buckled the t frame on top and front part of the frame. Crying shame but a lot of it was still beautiful so bought another’81 trans am someone made into a race car with a 455 olds motor, 400 turbo, and 4:11 rear end. Going to take that stuff off and go back to the 3:83 rear end and modify it for the borgwerner 4 speed from the other vehicle if I’m spelling that correctly. Can’t drive a vehicle like that with an automatic I need the 4 speed. I’ll probably get a lot of slack for using a suped up 350 crate motor but it’s what I have so will likely use again. Both cars been tucked away for 20 years now so interested in getting the project started and seeing what they’re like. Might make a few videos myself. Great to see they’re still out there and nice. Looking forward to getting another rust free beautiful t top ‘81 back out on the road. Certainly bringing more than they did 20 years ago.

Catching up on your vids. The PHS tells all, but the VIN will tell you that it’s a 455 TA. First digits should be 2W87W.

I'd like to increase the horsepower on my '76 400, but I don't really want to get into taking the engine apart. I don't need a huge increase, I just want to unlock some of the potential a bit. Any suggestions on headers/carburator/etc?

75 block and speakers in the door? Thought it was gonna be all factory correct?
@RudysWorldOfficial3 жыл бұрын
That is the CASTING DATE, for the 1976 motor.Not the model year for the car. Some car parts that are date coded were date coded late in the previous year if the car was a early year build date.(or three months prior to build date) The code on that block is 76 TA only ...the 75 is not the year of the motor. If you watch the video I said since I’m putting an alpine stereo in, I decide to leave the speakers in the doors. For now.

Hey Rudy! Nice TA! Are you going to keep the same wheel/tire/suspension set up after you rebuild the engine? I have a 76 TA and I’m considering building the engine. I was looking to see what others are doing with their cars. I don’t want to go full restomod with it because I like the original look but want more performance out of it like you.
@RudysWorldOfficial3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Yes I’m definitely going to redo the suspension keeping it as stock as possible. Last year I was reading up on leaf springs, that’s where it seems to get into differences on what guys do for different stances. I’m going to be looking into it again because I really can’t remember any of it at the moment but I want to buy new leaf springs and get the proper ride height without making it too low. Please car seem to have a pretty big gap in the tire area which is normal but it would be nice to lose about 1 inch
