That 17 digit VIN sure is a game changer. Nice looking 998!

Can a VIN number have zeros? Because I’m interested on one of these but the first digits are all zeros.
@bart6724 ай бұрын
@@rudyrw4146 Yes sir they sure can. Especially if it is a 9 digit vin, or originating from a SPCNS title (special construction)

@@bart672 I saw a vehicle that looked like a Humvee but the dealer has it listed as an H1 Humeer with a VIN number that has 11 Zeros and other 6 numbers so I was wondering if that is something that I should worry about, when it comes to insurance and other things (I’m new into this world of Humvees, forgive me if I’m ignorant )

@@rudyrw4146 mmph. Can't be a true H1 because they all start with a "1". I don't know what state you are in, so what I know is all California based...however, if it is a true 17 digit vin, it should compute on a carfax or should also be identifiable through ANY insurance company if you call them for a quote on it.... they'll tell you what it is. To me, it sounds like an "assigned" vin number from whatever state you are in... Just know that California WILL NOT let it in even if it is titled out of state-

Good lookin 998, I had a 1989? (I don’t remember the year anymore) but I drove the piss out of it and the only issue I had which I can’t blame on the humvee is the push button headlight switch burnt out. I definitely miss having a humvee and am gonna buy another for sure.

Nice. If you do get another HMMWV, try to get a 4 speed truck. M998 are all 3 speeds, and an extra gear makes a big difference on the highway. What I can say for 998's is that they are the best for off-roading due to their softer springs and more flex compared to the newer units.

@@bart672yea I had a M1025a2 slant back that had the 4 speed and it rode soooo well. I didn’t mind the 3 speed in the 998’s but yea when I got the slantback with the 4 speed I was absolutely sold on it. I don’t know if you’ve ever driven an M1009 cucv but they ride extremely smooth and that’s how my 1025a2 rode and my dumbass self sold them all haha
