I decided to move into my cozy luxury van, travel full time and see what vanlife alone is actually like. I had spent the previous winter in the van riding out snow storms, blizzards and freezing temperatures, but now it was time for full time van life in the arctic north.

My van is a Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in the USA and Canada but with a diesel engine and manual transmission.

Glad you are able to spend some time with your friends. The sphere inside of the glacier looked like Jupiter and the lighting was remarkable. The two campsites you had toward the end were spectacular. Loved the time lapse with the cloud shadows moving across the mountains. The waterfall looked awesome, a lot of water! I think it's a lot better camping in a van when it's raining. At least you can get up and move about. Thanks for sharing Jarl.

Second part. That was an awesome drive, "sur une route en lacets", between Jotunheimen and Jostedal and Geiranger, with beautiful mountains with their eternal snow"patches". The close-up of the rock with the numerous waterfalls was too short in time, but looked quite impressive. Magnificent scenery ! Gorgeous fjords ! We, humans, should remain very humble in front of such a grandeur. - tomorrow : third part !

The car you pas at around 4:14 was a Ford Cortina estate, I learnt to drive in the one my dad had in1965, it was dark green with a column change gear stick. Happy memories! Are those tracks classed as public roads, in the UK they are usually private tracks, for farms or forestry.

Yes it is, but it is narrowed down to a faulty cable, some grounding issue. It is not harming the performance, but annoying to see that light flash on for 30 second every time I start the engine when it is warm. Never happens on cold start.

Zero, wildlife is almost extinct, but we have sheep, we are a backwards country when it comes to protecting wildlife

@@NorwegianXplorer I didn't even hear many birds! But as you know, here in America once you are in the outdoors away from urban sounds, it seems the animal sounds are endless (especially at night). Whether in the deserts or the mountains or beaches. It seemed strange not to hear the little animals chattering away in the background on your video! Beautiful country though!

@@jonothandoeser There is a lot of birds, but no big animals, you Americans are so much better at protecting your wildlife. Did you know that hunting is allowed in national parks in Norway? So backwards! We have the "farmers party" in government now, and they are just destroying everything.

@@NorwegianXplorer Oh no! You would think farmers would appreciate animals! But I guess there has always been a battle between farmers and predators. Still, we've had the same battle here. But they protected wolves, bears, mountain lions, and various birds of prey It would be a shame to have to live without them!

@@jonothandoeser It would, they are "protected" here as well, but farmers get to kill them🤷‍♂ In general I would say that farmers are the biggest enemies of nature and wild animals in Norway.
