I am watching this in small pieces and I'm only on day three or so on your Ascent of Mount Whitney. There is some really beautiful scenery and the weather looks perfect. Thank you for recording your trip and sharing it with us!

@@NorwegianXplorer what a truly awesome view from the Mount! Whitney summit! Your ascent was so well documented! No doubt the hiker must be very careful not to slip or trip with all those rocks. And all the extra effort you went to to document your ascent!

I'm glad for you, dear Jarl, you had such a good time in USA. Going back to a place where one has been so happy, where one has experienced so many adventures, where one has made friends for life, is an undescriptible emotion. Freedom, but also health and love..... I have watched all your American adventures, a few years ago yet. Seeing those sceneries again I'm very impressed. Monument Valley, your progression through the Escalante canyon, those red rock-formations are phenomenal, most of all by sunset when they are glowing..... And those immense skies... The sunshine is so intense, that shadows turn completely dark....Thank you so much for this detailed evocation, for these overwhelming moments, it must have been quite a job. And of course, looking forward to meet you again under a harsh snowstorm, heading to... the north pole...... 😂 😆 😁 💜

In regards to sunroof: Install sealant strip on the outside side edge of window frame, so that it is covered by the window in down position. Then it should seal the gap between the window and the opening frame.

I appreciate you sharing a little about your past. It’s also nice to hear someone speak so positively about America and some of the reasons why we are proud to call it home. We don’t hear a lot of positivity about our country in the mainstream media, whether at home or abroad. Thank you for recognizing some of the things that make America special.

Your journey through Utah particularly took me back to my many visits to my favourite State.. Everywhere has changed considerably, particularly Boulder, Escalante, and particularly Moab. The same applies to many towns in Colorado and Arizona. They had more personality and much quieter, less populated and not spoilt by commercial expansion. I had to chuckle to myself when you met Jamal,( who I follow too,) hiking to the Hickman bridge. I hiked past the bridge to Navaho Knobs, much further on, and climbed the tallest Navaho sandstone pinnacle. All of my visits were made later September when children were back at school ! Now eighty years young, visits to the US are sadly over. Oldtimer Englishman reliving past adventures through your videos now. My visits started in 1992.

I completely agree with you about freedom. It is an amazing feeling, the endless vastness of the landscape. It is a kind of freedom that we long for, but simply do not dare because we are stuck in the system. There are always questions that are asked out of fear: what if.....?? Family, friends... The trick is to dare to let go of that dependency. As you think about the States, we think the same about Norway. Here in our country we live with a lot people on a relatively small area. Everyone has a sharp opinion, people are direct and live in stress. Ultimately, we have become too dependent on decisions made by others. As you know, I am an entrepreneur myself specialized in employment law. But entrepreneurship, for example, is made more difficult every year. I now know that this also happens in Norway. And the more difficult it becomes, the more your thoughts wander to a free life without hassle. Just grab the campervan and get away from the everyday grind into nature, hike, experience adventures, meet new people, that already feels liberating to us! But it is not actually freedom. For example, we remain dependent on cell service and 5G, both for work and for your private life. Going back to basics, that would be great. It would be very interesting if we could exchange ideas about this further in the summer. Thank you for your beautiful images, your beautiful words and adventures. We look forward to your winter trip! Stay safe my friend. Greetings Marinka

I totally agree with everything you say here, we have the same thing happening in Norway, government and state is getting more and more intrusive and especially towards entrepreneurs, would love to spend some time and talk about these things too!
