I'm having a similar problem, Todd. There is favoritism going on with the planners. They give me a good load, I commit, and they take it away with no explanation. Then I get that same load back after offering to help another planner. And there have been NUMEROUS times that they try to push a local load on me without local pay. These have been live unloads only 5-20 miles away.

I work at the sister company. When I started I’d get 1200 mile loads and get 2500-2800 a week. Now I’m lucky if I hit 1600. Then I get a load that can be done in a day but I can’t deliver for 3 days. Then I have to sit 20 hours to pickup my next load. I always hear we don’t have loads. I talk to other drivers and they say they never sit. It’s super frustrating

@@truckertoddllcliterally any flatbed lease with similar fixed costs paying percentage of 70% plus, same with reefer. Definitely not van unless they have great contracts. You’re competing with 20k company trucks. Your truck vs their truck. There’s a 5k lb load of empty coors cans in Denver. It goes 800ish miles to Texas. There’s a 43k load of paper rolls going through the mountains to California. There’s no loads in California. Which one of you is getting the load that’s 5k pounds to a hot market. What they are doing to you is why I left swift as a lease operator in 2017. And it was always that way. Period. Go hit DAT and check out the loads swift is posting that they can’t get covered allegedly. 4 dollars per mile some of them. It’s insanity. Meanwhile that lease truck will sit. Half the time a company truck will sit. I see you left already. Don’t look back!

Ya I do remember that happening a lot with Swift. I also remember no loads all day then when your ready to go to bed at 10:30 pm all of a sudden they have a hot load for you to race to go get so your spending 48 hours with no sleep 😢. I’m dedicated where I am at , my freight level never changes. It just goes from 1 load stacked up on you to 2 or 3 loads stacked up on you. Our version of low freight simply means your going to do a live load once in a while 😂. I feel for you brother Todd ❤ !!!! You're conspiracy idea makes a lot of sense. I've been with Swift for about a year now as a company driver. I've like to stay out for about 3 weeks at a time to try to get the most miles and make the most money but the last 2 times I went home after only two weeks and I noticed I got really good miles/pay both of those weeks I went home because they go out of their way to get you a load or two going home no matter how many miles they are. It's annoying because the point of staying out is that I want to make more money. It seems like they definitely are holding back on drivers

That's because they only need enough profit to make off of you & pay the truck. Anything else extra for you doesn't matter to them.

@@DarrkMane Makes sense. It seems like an indication to me that I need to try to stay stubborn and reject loads that don't benefit me the most. Are you a Swift driver?
