Fritz Haber was a German (Prussian) chemist who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1918 for his invention of the Haber-Bosch process. A method used to synthesize ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen gas. Used for the large-scale synthesis of fertilizers and explosives. It is estimated that two thirds of annual global food production uses ammonia from this process, and that this supports nearly half the world population. Haber is also considered the "father of chemical warfare" for his years of pioneering work developing and weaponizing chlorine and other poisonous gases during World War I.

He was also a colleague of a notable pascist scientist, Albert Einstein who sort of had a falling out with him over the eagerness to weaponize science... Of course Einstein would go on to suggest the US create the atomic bomb, but he believed the Nazis would do it first if the US didn't (not expecting they'd soon defeat the Nazis and instead use the bomb on Japan)

Sabaton always makes music about real events. Mostly about interesting people or events from wars. You can always check the description of their videos for a small summary of the topic of the song, for example for Father it is: "Fritz Haber, often referred to as the “father of chemical warfare”, weaponised lethal gas for the Germans during World War I. Haber is also responsible for the Haber-Bosch process, an invention that resulted in a boom in the world’s population due to a significant increase in agricultural produce." Hence the duality in this song about saint of sinner, he made a horrible breakthrough in the killing of soldiers, but also made an amazing discovery that has helped feed millions upon millions.

The world would be nowhere as populated as it is now if it wasn't for this man, the aspect of 'Father' could be used in both ways in that he is the creator of chemical warfare, and also the father of modern humanity with the literal billions that his formula feeds and sustains to this day.

8:15 Sabaton is the only band, that I know of, who play songs of history, including dark history. Their songs are history lessons, at the very least the songs encourage people to learn history. They not afraid to make songs on dark/controversial subject matter when it comes to war and history They are masters at not just delivering power bars, and insane guitar solos, but I have yet to find an equal at writing lyrics combined with a history lesson. I don’t think they have a single bad song and it’s nearly impossible to make a suggestion because all their songs are bangers. Watching people discover them is always entertaining.

Fritz Haber, a Jewish-German scientist from the Imperial German region of Prussia. He was the father of chemical warfare that would claim thousands in the first world war, and subsequently his own people the Jews in the second. However, despite creating such weapons, he first created a way to create synthetic ammonia, which is vital in fertiliser. This alone is credited with sustaining the entire world's population today. An estimated 4-5 billion people would not exist today without his creation.

You are wrong when you think that SABATON is a Russian hard rock band, but Sabaton is a Swedish Power Metal band from Falun, which was formed in 1999. The band's songs are inspired by various historical wars. Even the band name is military inspired, as Sabaton is also the name of the part of the armor that covers the foot. All the music that Sabaton has made and makes is based on, as I said, historical wars and you can learn the history behind many of Sabaton's songs here; kzbin.info. Here the story of the song Father is taken up. I guarantee the more songs you listen to by Sabaton the more you will like the bands and you will learn history at the same time, I have just heard from Americans that they learn the history of Sabaton, which is never brought up in American schools, as they only focus there on dehistorier son concerns only the USA.

Sabaton is a Swedish band with a loooong list of history based music. Sabaton also has an award winning history channel that gives background to over 100 if their songs (not music award, academic, aimed at education of the public) . Sabaton videos are often have dedictions and/or messages at the end, perhaps not always but, watching to the very end is frequently well worth it. Animated STORY videos (short history lessons with music videos in them) No bullets fly Night witches Lady of the dark Red baron first soldier epic videos. Bismark, about the sinking of the ship Defence of Moscow, self explained. Christmas truce, about the spontaneous truce in some parts of the western front during Christmas 1914 40:1, about polish soldiers, badly outnumbered (just under 750 in all) facing 42 000 germans, they where BADLY outgunned desperately defending against the German invasion 1939 (with odds actually close to 55:1 they held for 3 DAYS when ammunition and supplies ran out. Uprising, the Warsaw Uprising against the nazi germans during 1944. To hell and back, they tell the story of Audie Murphy (highly decorated) and his struggle AFTER the war, so about PTSD and drug addiction that returning soldiers can face. Fields of verdun, the 300+ day long battle fought there. Price of a mile, about the battle of Passchendaele Screaming Eagles, about the battle of the bulge Live performances 40:1 from poland Uprising from poland En livstid I krig live from Göteborg Sweden (in Swedish but there are subtitles) , very heavy again, about thoughts of a young man going to war. these are just some, there are plenty more.

Prussia was around way before the late 1800s if you include the time it spent under the Holy Roman Empire (wherein duchies and kingdoms and what not ran things largely autonomously with little intervention from the emperor) with its most notable ruler being King Frederick The Great who ruled Prussia in the 1700s... Eventually this empire would be crushed at the hands of Napoleon Bonaparte, but still the Prussians would continue putting up a fight against Napoleon... They were there at Waterloo under the leadership of a guy named Blucher in the early 1800s 9 years after the Holy Roman Empire fell (a battle in which I think they played a fairly key role)... Then in the early 1870s you had the Franco-Prussian War where France tried taking on Prussia and Prussia called on all other Germans to aid them... Together they managed to obliterate the French surprisingly easily and to rub salt in the wound they decided right in France's Versailles to unite all Germanys (except Austria because the Prussians hated the Austrians and also they wanted to run things in this united Germany but the Austrians could rival them in power) into a single German Empire which then became a very short lived Wilhelmina Germany... From that point on, I don't think there's really been much of a strong Prussian identity really outside of being from the region that is Prussia (or a region, I think there might be a few? I know the Nazis after invading Poland decided that parts of Poland would become officially Germany and one of those parts was named 'East Prussia' or something like that, not sure...)
