The first 3 days were miserable for me. I actually regretted it so bad during those days. It was so painful and I couldn’t keep my mind off the pain. But after those 3 days, I totally forgot that I was wearing them and they feel like a part of my body now. Tip: when you change your trays, do them right before you go to bed bc the first 12 hours are uncomfortable, but NOWHERE near the first 3 days.

For me it wasn’t awful I think everyone has a different experience what I noticed is the first day it felt like I had to bite down and itch my teeth and it felt awkward and also I also woke up a few times at night and I had to take them out because it hurt so bad

I got mine yesterday, soreness is annoying especially when taking them in n out to eat, but tolerable. The compulsion to take them out is strong...but you can bear through it!

This is a very honest and important video, it shows the other, uncomfortable side of Invisalign. Your experience has NOT put me off but has prepared me for when I get mine. Do you have an update? I would really like to know your experience for the last year.

For anyone who is binging these the day before it sucks the first 3 days but it gets better and also when u get them go to cvs or something and get orajel it is a lifesaver when u need some relief

I got mine 5 days ago... here is my current situation - teeth are a bit sore but I can eat anything (I had steak last night) so it isn’t that bad for me. - my tongue is absolutely in bits (cut up & sores) - the attachments are sore on my lips and I find that I want to keep my aligners in as much as possible - 2 hours a day freaking flies by, you feel like you’ve not had them out at all But the end results are going to be so worth it!!!

My friend got her Invisalign on recently and didn’t not have this same experience. She said she had some moderate pain and her tongue was a little sore but not as bad as me. So hopefully you have her experience lol

Can't agree more! I've been having invisalign for 100 days already, and believe it or not, but the first two months I wanted to abandon the whole thing, that's how uncomfortable the aligners were, and for two months I couldn't sleep at night, would wake up 5 times per night because of the dry mouth, oh boy! But fortunately I found my peace with thos suckers and I'm ready to go till the very end (two years for me), the road is gonna be long) Thank you Kristin for the honest review!

I'm feeling day 2 right now. My tongue is raw with pain. Wish I hadn't done the procedure. The end resuts are keeping me going..and the money I spent😕 This video is so real.

I have had Invisalign for 2 months now. I change them out every week and I have not had any issues with mine. I have felt pressure and when I change out my trays my teeth are a little sore so I can not eat hard stuff. But besides that, it hasn't affected me besides not being able to eat when I want. I pretty much only eat once or twice a day now since I hate brushing all the time. I haven't done the teeth filing yet which is supposed to occur next couple of weeks. I am on tray 9 out of 60+ week program.

@@stephaniebally4479 Gorge yourself in one or two meals. I’ve noticed that once i start eating the pain isn’t as bad but the initial few bites are pretty sore. I’d also recommend getting an ortho key which is a tool that helps remove the aligners, i have a lot of attachments on my teeth so it’s a struggle to take them off.

Omg I wish o found your video sooner!!! I got mine 1 week ago and omg the PAIN!!!! Every video that I saw, folks were talking about how great they are vs braces, omg I was fooled, I couldn’t believe how much pain I was in, I literally thought I was allergic to the plastic or something went wrong. I’m on a 2 week regimen so I’m due to for my next set in 6 days. Wish me luck! Anyway, thank you for being honest with your experience with Invisalign!

I've had mine for 3 days, the pain started to get better. Something that really helped me is to keep drinking very cold icy water, it helps with the pain and the dry mouth too.

I’ve have my Invisalign for about a week. I experienced no pain at all. Eating is a weird experience due to my attachments rubbing against my cheeks and food getting caught. I predict I will lose some weight due to me contemplating if I want to go through the whole process of brushing and properly cleaning my teeth and liners. My eating habits have definitely changed.

Dentist said No Ibuprofen for pain it slows the process of your teeth correction. Tylenol is the best choice

OMG I HAVE NAUSEA TOO from Invisalign! I thought i was going crazy and it’s always in the morning. I thought I was nauseous from anxiety over my exams this week 😂! Also I have dry mouth and chapped lips😅 no pain THANKFULLY . Thanks for this video!

my experience: the first 3 days were PAINFUL, I almost regretted getting it. But then I got used to it, and it isn't uncomfortable anymore, even when I change the trays.. it hurts for like 30 minutes then the pain is gone haha. But this was my experience, it can be different for everyone.

I’m getting 18 attachments next week and my jaws clash each time I talk and I work from home taking calls nonstop so it’s already making it painful just to talk. Do you think the 18 attachments may make it a lot worse for talking?

Painkillers can actually drastically slow down teeth movement so ask your dentist which one to take in order to not extend your process :D

Hmmm I’m on day 3, and it doesn’t really hurt. I had IPR so I think that helped, I just have minor soreness when I bite with the front teeth to eat. One of my attachments also fell off on day one lol. Guess I’m one of the lucky ones.

I'm on day 8. Yesterday I got my attachments i have 18 on on and it hurts so much to take them off and back on. I am miserable I regret putting them on so much!!!!!!! I wish I hadn't done it. I miss food... I only had one meal today bcuz I don't want the pain of taking them off and on again

I’m on week 3 and I’ve not had any pain really. I’ve had the sore tongue for one day but filed my aligner and the next day my tongue was fine. I’m guessing we all react differently but it’s only short term eh 😋

Matteo Fanelli took a few days. The pain subsides fairly quickly. I didn’t really take any pain meds. I’m on my 5th set and I don’t really feel any discomfort. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ve been wearing mine enough, like when I take them out to eat I’ll start watching something and forget to put them in so I’m afraid I’m gonna have to have my orthodontist check me out again because this current tray isn’t fitting that tight on the bottom. So just be sure you really do wear them for the 20 to 22 hours a day

Hi! I just started this journey 5 days ago I’m actually doing 3M clarity which is pretty much the same thing. I haven’t experienced any pain with my attachments, they definitely feel strange when eating, but it’s gotten a little bit easier everyday. Best of luck to you!
