Remember the mid-engined Renault R5 Turbo from rallying, insane one-offs like the Artz Golf with Porsche 928 engine and interior, and VW's own Golf W12-650. The PML Flightlink electric Mini Cooper QED with four 160 hp in-wheel motors came out 15 years ago. Sadly, people want jacked-up crossovers and SUVs, not hatchbacks. A tri-motor Hyundai Ioniq 5 N model would look like a hatchback, but it's a pretty big car.

That’s completely wrong. An EV is way more cheaper to design from the scrap than a combustion vehicle. Just designing a new combustion motor which needs to comply with extremely strict polution regulations ( at least in europe) requires tens of billions. That os not the case in EV.

It's all about hiring proper engineers and engineering graduates for that very purpose. Also, the majority of other supercar companies are mostly targeted in other directions, such like ICE models with exotic sound and vibrations, driver engagement (for the manual transmission models), maximum speed or low weight for better track performance, luxury, fancy looks and/or a much high-volume production. Those companies were just recently forced to start developing hybrid or fully electric models due to stricter emission regulations and the high penalties they pay for producing high power ICE cars.

I have to say, I love the "think outside the box" attention to detail. The screen, not only does it fold forward to access the storage behind but it means you can adjust it to better suit the drivers viewing angle. The in-built cameras instead of messing around with a load of Go-Pro's. And the dial near the drivers hand to change driving modes. Nice size for good grip, not a fiddly dial or a small button or hidden in the computer screen. I love great design ideas like this. I only drive a mere mk III Audi TT but the heating vents are right by my hand and angled towards the driver. The buttons for the vents are on the centre of the vents, so there's no looking around for heater controls. The gearstick also sits inches away from the steering wheel so you don't have to move your hand much to change gear, and of course, the virtual cockpit right in front of you means you don't have to look at a separate screen for sat nav or other settings. More cars should be like this. And now they've just covered the autonomous driving so you can experience what a real driver can do in the car. That's amazing! Mapping every major track too, no stone left unturned!

Hypercars could very well still be made to use internal combustion engines, because due their extreme rarity and people not driving them all year round, every day, the ecological impact is negligible. Actually, it'd probably be less than with EVs due to the latters' batteries.

The details are just insiane! What I love the most about that car is when you leave the shop you are not left alone. They still will help you, give you updates on computer and so on. Just superb! Is this car finished? Is something still off and will be fixed or replaced? Not talking about software but about buttons & stuff...
