Congratulations Brian on creating such a wonderful version of the mighty ZRX, you’re a true master of your craft and I love your workmanship 👍. I bought my ZRX1200R new back in 2002 when I was 45 years old (66 now) and have kept it almost standard ever since, it’s still go’s and riding like a new bike. My son has been after it for many years now, but like I say to him what’s the point of selling one of the best bikes ever made 😂😁👍. Well done Brian, you have a fantastic machine 🙏😊.

Wow what a beauty, you have created a masterpiece. I purchased a ZRX 1200 twenty years and drove for about 2 years before selling it, I just purchased a ZRX 1100 after leaving the motorcycles all together and getting into classic cars which I also love. The ZRX was the only one i was interested in, mainly because of growing up during the Eddie Lawson victories, cheers.

Love your bike. Looks like you put a lot of time and money into her. I bought a new ZRX1200 back in 2002. I'm now starting a refurbishing of the bike. Hope it turns out half as good as yours....

Nice z rex . The ohlins front fork looks to have less travel than stock. Does this cause any problems?

Gives that impression because I have the Ohlins 10mm through the top yoke also the RH has a steering damper clamp bracket directly under the bottom yoke with a 1.5mm space between... No issues..... BG.

Brian can you give me advice on carbon fibre wheel torque figures, I recently got a set of Dymag CA5 carbon wheels for my Kawasaki, What wheel spindle torque figures would you recommend, The hubs are magnesium, I can’t find this information anywhere.

Well Personally I use no more than 30flbs (around 40.6Nm) on the wheel axles for my BST's Also use some Blue threadlock as well. Also good practice to check regularly too..! 👍 I'm using Ohlins RWU forks on my 05 ZRX so I typically lower stock torque settings for the pinch bolts by 10% and again use some Blue threadlock as well...(checking regularly too..) For the brake disc (rotor) bolts..,Brocks site gives good recommendations since it depends on the dia of the bolts (6mm~8mm etc) www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=blog.brocksperformance.com/faq/what-are-the-torque-specs-for-bst-carbon-wheels/&ved=2ahUKEwjr8LuAy6WFAxX9XUEAHaZ9DGAQFnoECCQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1lHUdvTmjUk1C4xW6XVVno Same goes for the 10mm sprocket carrier bolts too...(around 29Nm) But make sure you use blue threadlock and "proper" sprocket carrier nuts that have a Nyloc insert or locking tab... It's just there is so much conflicting advice and recommendations.....,have a look at this Ducati forum thread since they recommend rear axle spec at around 90Nm..?? www.959panigale.net/threads/carbon-fiber-wheels-bst-vs-rotobox-which-one-would-you-choose.15361/page-2 Food for thought..?? Think the bottom line is you "lower" the torque spec recommendations for carbon fiber wheels versus stock wheels at the % you feel comfortable with but factor in the other safety measures to compensate ... 👍 Oh and also bear in mind "other" manufacturers carbon fiber wheels may differ...(BST versus Rotobox Versus Dymag etc..etc.. The specs I mentioned are just those "I" use...,but a lot of discretion needs to be applied by each owner/rider to comply with what "they" are comfortable with.. On this topic there is NO size fits all... BG.

No way does that bike ever get taken out of the garage if it looks like it might rain so I don't think that will ever be a problem. It's to be looked at for hours, not ridden for hours.
