They’re beautiful, beefy and silent killers. It’s the Only model Taurus that styling looks like a “Bull” to me and the SHO can get mean when need be. My wife’s 2017 Sel just had hers replaced with 15k miles on the car. Can’t wait to join the SHO family hopefully this spring.

Haven't had the issue yet, but have heard enough about this happening that I ordered one and keep it and what I need to change it in the car. Even though I shouldn't get stranded because the car was previously converted to run on propane, so I have a completely separate backup system to keep me going.

2015 SHO - A couple days ago I was playing on the freeway when the car fell flat on it's face. Your video inspired me to leave my Diablosport active on PIDs Well upon testing and watching the knock I am getting a positive 5 -I want to say it said 11 :(, Really don't want to get into the mess of replacing the knock sensors- So I'm going to give this a go. - Thanks for the great content

Wonder if that's my issue. P0087 light throttle on a grade or passing without downshifting I get a hesitation. Once it didn't start for me.

flashing check engine light smoke out the rear end. getting codes for fuel pressure to low, cylinder 2 misfire, think this may be able to help? thanks if u acknowledge this all ur vids are great man

That may be an injector that is stuck open. Pop the hood and prime the fuel system by tapping the start button. Go back to the engine and listen for any hissing sounds. If you hear a constant hissing sound, cylinder 2 injector is stuck open. Do not continue to drive the car that way until fixed, or you will likely damage the cylinder. That's what happened to my SHO in cylinder 6. It washed out the cylinder, causing low compression in cylinder 6.

LoL bro. I feel the same mixed feelings with my sho. Some days it boogies!! Some days it won't make it up a hill at 55 lol. I've put $12k into mine in the last year. Everything from water pump and timing kit to the ptu twice lol. Now I'm about to put new turbos and transmission in the car lol. SHIT!

Had this happen on my 2014 Fort Taurus Limited. 2013-2015 Ford Taurus SHO's have a recall for it if you have the 3.5L EcoBoost Engine (some other vehicles by Ford and Lincoln were on the list too) and they were made at a certain manufacturing plant in Chicago (for Taurus'). I don't know why it wasn't also extended to other makes of the Taurus? My part # for my Fuel Pump CM was one of the affected part #'s on the recall. My car was made in Chicago, and part # matches the known fault CM's, just the engine doesn't.

I've had one for 3 years and I've got a fuel problem. Fuel pressure is too high and I'm not having any idling issues, but issues accelerating only sometimes.

Where did u get the triple gauge pod for the center speaker grill? Does it muffle the sound?

It was a custom piece I made. The center speaker doesn't have a huge impact on the sound quality so covering it wasn't a big deal. 🙂👌

I’ve got 2014 SEL that died on me when I was out. It makes that exact sound when I try to turn it on, so now I’m wondering if it’s the module and not the pump. I know it’s been throwing the code for the 02 sensor, but nothing else 😮‍💨 I can do the module myself, but not the pump cause that involves taking the back seat out.

I'm starting to think it did have something wrong with the ECM. Right before I got rid of it, it was doing a bunch of weird things. Doors wouldn't lock, it wouldn't start right, the Gauge cluster was lit up like a Christmas Tree.

This went bad on my Flex. If anybody has the issue with a Flex, it is located behind the trim panel to the right side of your head if you're sitting in the passenger middle row seat.

Do you know if your SHO was repaired under, I believe, 2 recalls for a faulty fuel pump driver module. My 13 was recalled twice for it. I would check that out.

Mine was not. Dealerships are required by law in Maryland to supply recall information at the time of sale. It's illegal to sell a car with an open recall.

Unfortunately they chose specific build dates, my 2013 P.I. sedan was covered, my sisters 2013 Taurus limited was not,, hers failed and was out of pocket, mine was replaced for free.

Hmm... 🤔 It's possible. It's strange that it doesn't start after filling up. Your issue could potentially be related to the EVAP System as well. But it's likely between the fuel pump module, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure sensor, or something with the EVAP system like a clogged canister, or cracked line.

this is happening to me right now. 2015 Ford Taurus SEL Flex fuel. 3.5L Did this then thought I fixed it…drove for about a week then died in the highway. Just lost power and I came to a stop. Not sure how to go about it fuel pump module is pretty dang expensive but so is replacing a fuel pump. Hopefully it’s not the fuel pump. Will not start and keeps cranking just like this.

I was wondering why all the ford taurus cop cars disappeared because there were so many of them and now almost every one i see is a ford explorer. the internet at first glance would have me believe that the reliability is average, one even rating it 4 out of 5, so that didn't add up. some research later i find out about all these transmission problems and one site even saying they found ford to be the least reliable manufacturer in the usa. i'm very sorry to hear that, i feel bad for all the people. the only american car that i ever owned that was actually super reliable was a 02 buick century custom with the v6. the only ford that worked well for me ever was a ford festiva, and i had one other ford in my lifetime, it was a ford escord and the transmission broke very shortly after owning it. i would be very careful with any car made in the usa sadly.

Unfortunately, the 2010 and up SHO is plagued with so many problems. Most SHO enthusiasts have had to deal with catastrophic powertrain or drive train failure including myself. Electrical issues are another huge problem with them. It's honestly a shame because they are fun cars. I had to part ways with my SHO because of the constant issues.

Obviously you have no mechanic skills.. Crank but not starting is not a bsttery .. if it was it would be no crank no start.. csr turning over and not stsrting.. if no fuel pump not working or no gas in your tank or no spark.
