My 2014 Mercedes CLA 250 4matic Sport Package w 96000 Miles(39MPG!)

as part of my channel i buy and sell cars as a hobby..I bought this CLA250 few months ago and its great on fuel w up to 39 mpg! Talk about what I did to it w repairs and my overall thoughts

Just bought a 2014 CLA 250 all black with the amg sports package with 105k miles for 11.5k and absolutely love it so far!

I have cla 220d 2013 model. Love it. Tho i worked on it. Changed alternator, battery, fixed transmission oil cooler leak, the exaust valve cell .. now i have timing chain issue but still happy with it for a daily drive.

I bought mines in 2017.. for 13k with 100k.. Replaced the cam, and crank shafts..@ 178..

camshaft I can see but the crankshaft? You would be replacing the engine or a total rebuilt if that was the case..

@@chimichanga-iv6xt I sold mine to my friend for $16000(what I owned it for) they run great! Change the trans fluid when you can and shouldn't worry much,I did another video for transmission shifting weird ,easy fix at about $200..CEL comes on crankshaft position sensor

One last question some amg 2014 have the cla 250 token off do you know the reason why? My point is i was planning in taking my emblem off..

Check my channel! This helped i have stage 3, had that neck breaking studder under load around 4k rpm. Came out to be hall sensor. Never guess it without your video! I did upgraded coil packs, cooler plugs, shell gas specific.... then the fix. The sensor!

You know that's not actually a Mercedes? Its a modified Renault Megane chassis under there. The engines are modified versions of the Reanults too.

The only thing that has a Renault engine is the van with a Diesel engine,otherwise its all Mercedes..Says Wikipedia..there are comparisons of the 2 cars....1 vs the other...

@@BaldadonisMike2021 The diesel 4 pot 1.5 in the a180 and a200 are renaults old 1.5 litre units. They're in cars and vans over here in Europe. The a200 version is tuned and a bit more refined but the same engine. The petrols are developments of the renault engines. The 400bhp AMG turbo version started out in the origianl Renault Megane F1 that was here in Europe back in 2006. The orginal Renault A class is a mercedes development of the Renault Megane MK3. The newest A class is the Megane Mk4. They share alot of common components.

@@jorge8915 it’s the a180 diesel and the a200 that are renaults. They are the old 1.5l diesels that were in Renault Megans and Clios about 20 years ago in the early 2000’s. It was a very reliable and very economical engine. It’s was a bit rough sounding but was good enough

I have a cla250 as well. I've achieved 39 mpg on the highway plenty of times. Gotta stay in the 55-70 mph sweet spot.

such a nice looking car but Mercedes and bwm are not reliable cars they break down a tone over 80k miles they don't last and are expensive to fix if you do buy one that old is needs to have under 50k miles and needs a warranty on top of it

No they dont😂 I've had 3 over 100k no serious problems what so ever. People don't know how to take care of them most of the time. 107k miles and runs strong on my 2014 CLA.
