In my opinion, I diet more than I exercise. I feel like exercise is better to build muscle but if you want to get a good start to losing weight I recommend going on a diet, or just reducing your caloric intake. Its a good first step, and you would be surprised on how well it works. In the end it's all up to how your body responds to things- just persevere through the discouraging times and you will eventually get there!!
