@@Ed-ICE-Berg Modular is good way to go especially when working in small spaces. Using the space in L layout design is good way to go. Always best to use what you got and then add some new items to give it different look. Glad to see you did hybrid with the new Lionel Fast Trac with Solid State Transformer plus the Older Tubular Track with Traditional Transformers. The best part is that you are happy with the creations! That's all that matters in this hobby!

@@rchird2010 Thanx Rick! This whole corner of The Cave is where I do my temporary set-ups which have been a lot of fun. It's the only free, usable, building space I have out there and I'm hankerin' to do a more permanent layout with larger radius track. But if I do that I lose my play area. decisions, decisions, decisions LOL

@@Ed-ICE-Berg Now that the 4x4 Xmas Under the Tree is done switching back to my 2 Level Table Top. Upgrade the MTH Elevated Trolly line to feeder wires for the sectional track plus add 153C Infrared switch to automate the stop and start. Add Gantry Crane to freight yard, Automate the dump cars action. Going to adding display shelves under the table top on three sides so trains and rolling stock is more accessible. Later add chest of drawers for accessory storage, parts, spare buildings ie Plasticville to LeMaxx When I move this to spare room will add the L which will be a full railyard for freight and passenger cars. Last phase will be a around the ceiling layout with at least 2 tracks. Agree the modular approach is much easier to achieve quickly.

a number of years ago there is a fellow by the name of @ steve eastman on here who had a winter layout called winter wonder land . yours reminds me of that layout . great job.observation: seems that the tram is tapping in time with the music from the roundabout, could be a auditory collusion.

Thanx John! Yup, they're all part of RMT's Snowflake Express set. RMT made these shorty's in other road names like NYC but man are they hard to come by!
