That’s what I did and couldn’t be happier with the result. I sold my 32 inch monitor, moved my MB Air to the side and concentrated on my new M1 iMac. It’s perfect for what I need and I love how fresh and clean my setup looks now.

Ok, so let me tell you this, I waited a couple of hours before watching this video because I kinda hate the look of the new iMac (kind of looks cheap from the front if you ask me, but that isn't the topic of discussion) I am at 0:18 right now, so haven't even watched the video yet, but two things I can already say is this: 1. Cable management has been done after years! Congrats! 2. That is a dope intro, camera work has definitely improved! Hi Ali, Alan here, been following you for years and love the channel, I had my heart set on a fully 1800mm desk like yours but seeing your new setup has made me realize that, the bigger the desk, the more stuff you will put on it and clutter your space. Am I wright? I’ve decided to buy the Herman Miller Nevi desk and will have it on Tuesday 🤞, it 1400mm long and 800mm deep . My reason may have to do with my chair , I’ve a Herman Miller Aeron and absolutely love it. I get sciatica in my lower back (truck rear ended me a few years ago 🤒)and feel that my new desk will help , will be able to transition between sitting and standing now.

I like this video a lot more than other recent videos. You try to crack less jokes and you sound a lot more informed. Little things such as mentioning the cloud lifter providing more gain was a nice touch of accurate detail rather than "it makes it louder or something" that I heard in a previous desk setup video. I basically did the same thing. I have a Caldigit TS3 dock, and I'm waiting the 5 weeks or so for my spec-ed out iMac to arrive. I had a billion cables and lots of annoying HDs and junk on my table. I had the same desire for minimalism, although the heart of my last setup is a 2015 5K iMac which I love. but my MacBook Air showed me the power of the M1. I don't even want a printer there.. If I need to print something, I'll go upstairs to a messier environment with my old iMac.

When you are going to do the L-shaped productiveity/gaming, make sure the monitor you get for your Alienware Windows PC is a 1440p atleast 144 hz display. If you get a 1440p 60 hz (which is what your ultrawide monitor was I believe) then you are leaving performance of the Alienware on the table, basically wasting the potential of the RTX 3080 graphics card inside of that PC. That graphics card is made for 1440p 144hz(or fps)+ gaming.
