Saturn 🪐 you have a very nice collection. I have several of the decks you mentioned. I’ve been doing tarot now for about 10 months, so I’m looking to transfer to something that’s not necessarily an Rws deck, but not way out there so I’m completely lost. 💚

I'm thinking in some ways we have similar tastes & in some not so similar. I absolutely adore the Santa Meurte tarot - which I bought after seeing it in your video! Most 'creepy' decks I have no issue with, I have the joire de Virve tarot in my wishlist. I also have some decks by the artist Jasmine Becket-Grifith (the author is generally Lucy Cavendish with those decks) & I'm also wanting to get the Divine Circus oracle deck by Alana Fairchild - which has images related to actual circus themes. I have a few Kipper style decks & hoping to get the zombie tarot & The Beauty of Horror decks at least in time for next years Halloween. I'm not sure why but I don't really go for the og RWS style decks & images. But I do like the decks that encompass both the true tarot themes as well as a kind of almost oracle vibe to some. As long as there's some kind of RWS reference to each card, I feel it's not completely lost its roots. I think it's important to still show a kind of respect for the woman who brought this beautiful tool for us. If I've read right, I think her name was Pamela (?) Smith & she was a 'woman of colour'. If that's the case it'd explain why she didn't get much recognition since back in those days the segregation etc was horrendous. Sorry I'm babbling & getting on my soapbox, I just think she should've had more recognition for the amazing works she did. In any case, here's another Saturn lol! 🪐😄💖 And thank you for showing all these decks to us. I found even though I have a few of them & don't go much for the basic RWS versions, I had to keep stopping the video so I could add another deck to my wishlist lol! 🤣 It was lovely to hang out with you for a longer vid too Raven. 🙏💖🪶

I think that’s where the divide is - I’m not so keen on Lucy Cavendish’s doll-like art in her decks. My horror themed decks have some kind of humor in them as well, I just noticed. Haha! No worries at all, I enjoy connecting with you and hearing your thoughts. 😊 I see.. I do have a few of RWS clones that are super close to the real thing, but I’m like you too, I feel like as long as there is a connection to the OG, even if it’s just loosely based, I like it because it gives a nod to the creator. And yes, I think Pamela Coleman-Smith AKA “Pixie” is just getting more attention now. I believe there’s a deck out there now that’s just dedicated for her. I remember seeing one on Etsy. 💕 Hahaha! What a weird emoji to think of, actually. I think my mind was already in space towards the end of this video. Lol! But thank you so much for watching up until the end! 💕✨

I would agree that the Wild Unknown Tarot is for sure a tarot of the modern times! Haha! I have the tin deck on its way to me now. I just was never really interested in it before. It’s definitely a staple in most tarot arsenals for sure. ☺️☺️ As for the Fountain Tarot… not so sure.. I feel like this artwork requires acquired taste.. there’s something about it, I’m just not keen on the art style I guess, it’s a hard pass for me. Lol! 😂 Which one do you like most of the two?
