England will be disappointing, but get the job done. Wales and Iran will be boring but pragmatic. Any team getting out of this group will be out in the round of 16. You saw it here first.

The Only thing mad is Americans thinking they are clear second best team in their group when they came 3rd in concacaf the weakest region in football, where they lost to Canada, Panama and Costa Rica by big scores and they still think they are superior to Wales who have defeated Belgium, Turkey, Austria and Ukraine and think they are better than Iran, despite the fact they recently got thrashed by Japan, who came below Iran in the Asian qualifiers. The USA soccer media are hyping these yanks up because they play for slightly bigger clubs in Europe than previous generations, which is more down to the European clubs seeing their commercial value than ability. I don’t think it is an coincidence that the Premier League contract quadrupled since Pulisic move to Chelsea in the USA. Not one of these American players are the star of their teams and I think the over optimistic yank fans are in for shock when they realise Wales and Iran have more quality and expose that weak defence that tries to play passing football they are not good enough all over the pitch to do.

Hopefully they won’t be distracted. But there are two players on the team that are pro regime while the rest of the team hates the regime. So there has been friction. 3 weeks ago one of the player that was a pro regime was player in the club and was elbowed in the face on purpose. Then when the team was leaving the bus left without the two players. Also the other day the regime officials warned the players not to show any signs of protests in the game. Going to be an intense group for sure
