I love the new truck! I have the same wheels on my 2023.

Thank You! The black is growing in me, being 61 us old guys like chrome though, but the black does look good, surprised by how good the Goodyears are on a slick road to, truck rides a lil harder than my 2017, not sure if it’s the smaller wheels or FX4 differences.

How many miles you get out of your 2017 before trading it? Curious about the reliability lol
@pathunter7003Ай бұрын
It was reliable, lol, lol, lol, lol

Sorry took so long to get back to you, in 94k it broke 0 times, absolutely reliable, did put rear brakes on it at about 80k the fronts were fine., the guy that bought called me to ask questions about the truck and I told him, I couldn’t have asked for any better truck and I’d stuck 100% maintenance and never dogged it. I’m hoping he treats her like I did, but he got a great truck.

I love the extended cab pickups! Too bad all the dealers aren’t keeping to many in stock.

Frankfort Ford in Frankfort KY had a bunch, guess they have a lot of farmers, I found only 2 in West Virginia.

Please forgive my wife’s wind chimes in the background, didn’t hear them while I was shooting the video. Also meant to say the bed is about a foot longer and that really does make a difference, 6.5 ft. compared to 5.5 ft. and around town mpg is 20.4 mpg exact same as my 2017 was.

Been following you for a couple of years now, I will miss the 2017 STX you had, but I’m glad the 2023 fits all your needs! Keep us updated! I still have my 2017 STX 2.7 with 127k and still have had no issues!

They are great trucks like the 17’s styling a lil better, also the 17 to me felt a lil faster!

Wow what gorgeous truck brother! I'm looking for a F150 Tremor possibly or Lariat in a 22 or 23 with the Coyote 5 in it
@poppyneese18117 ай бұрын
Those 5.0 sure sound good and then Lariats are like I imagine a Rolls Royce, all that leather and such!👍 Tremors do look good! I think I’d choose the Tremor over the Raptor, it’s understated styling kind of a sleeper, most people don’t know it’s capabilities!

Why did you trade it your old 2017?
@poppyneese18115 ай бұрын
I wanted the front bench, super cab works fine for me not many adults ever was in the back seat, wanted the rubber floor and longer bed 3:73 rear end a lil better towing my camper and gen 2 2.7 Ecoboost. My 2017 was still a awesome truck when I traded it, but this time I had figured out what fit me better. I had also wanted a lil KEI truck till I tried to get behind the wheel and found I’m a lil to round for one. I like the looks of the 2017 better, but this truck just fits our life better.

It’s a beautiful truck. The 2017 haD the better transmission . Hope your 2023 10r80 is as reliable as the 17. Keep us posted! Subbed

Nice truck. I wanted to buy a f150 but had to settle for a 2023 ram classic because they're 15k cheaper. Just hope it lasts 6 years lmao
@poppyneese18117 ай бұрын
I like RAMS, crazy about the Rebel front and hate they went away from the old front end with the cross up front,maintenance maintenance maintenance and around here I see a lot of older RAMs on the road. We have a neighbor that has I’m guessing a 2010 RAM, he works in the mines and it sure makes a sweet sound on cold start! He seems to have really had great luck with it.

@poppyneese1811 I've had my '14 Ram 1500 5.7 since it was brand new. 176k kms on it now. Never have had a single "cant drive it till this is fixed" issue with it. Just some miscellaneous odds and ends that dont require more than a couple bucks and an hours work to fix. Other than that its just seen a ton of oil changes, a couple batteries and brake jobs. It's a farm truck, lots of towing and hauling equipment, supplies, fruit, etc. As well as its my daily driver in the winter months. I recently bought a new super duty, as much as my wife wanted to, I refused to trade it in and still have it. I'm gonna drive that thing till the wheels fall off.

You don’t need to have the truck connected to the wifi or a data plan to remote start. Your ford connect app on your phone does the remote start and that needs to be connected to the internet. I have not figured out how to or if I can remote start with the key fob.
@poppyneese18117 ай бұрын
If you figure it out, please let me know! I’m going to try starting it through phone at sons house tomorrow, see if that works for me.
@poppyneese18117 ай бұрын
Tried it today and you were right, went to the park to walk and thought we’ll it ain’t connected to the internet now, used the Ford App and it started! Thank You

Does it slow in sport mode.
@poppyneese18117 ай бұрын
Haven’t done much driving in sport mode to be honest, it does feel faster in sports mode though, it shifts fine just a lot more gears to go through, come to a stop and feels like it falls back to first. Didn’t mean it’s slow, it’s still quick, maybe Ford made throttle response a little softer to protect the 10 speed and maybe it’s the 3.73 rear end is just lower and pulls differently compared to the 3.55 was. For a 5,300 lb truck it’s still quick.
@michaelminauro41807 ай бұрын
I got a eighteen that I bought in twenty with the 2.7 10 speed When it is in sport mode, it will hit every gear it is a little better. Other than that I don't think that ten speed will ever act like 6 It is clumsy.
