In 2013, my family‘s net worth was $15,000, at the end of 2023 my family‘s net worth was over $1.3 million. It took 10 years but through good habits and never giving up we made a tremendous amount of progress.

I'm aware of the risk of talking about it, but at this point it doesn't concern me. I still do all my work tasks and all of this is done outside of work!

Leila, congratulations on a really great 2023 financial year!!!🎉🎉🎉 I was getting so fired up about the people who get annoyed by your success. To the naysayers, you have to think about YOUR motivation in watching financial videos. Is it to learn or the judge others? I watch a ton of financial you tubers, because I like talking and thinking about finances and I can’t bore my hubby or family or friends talking about it all the time. Love the content. ❤🤗 Edit: I really just started paying more attention to my finances (in terms of savings). I did some no buy months, got a HYSA, & became more aware of my spending (mostly on food & other people). I was able to save at least $2k that would've been spent otherwise in 2023. I also paid down over $3k of debt. It may not be the biggest amount in the world (and nowhere near you Leila), but I appreciated your encouragement/inspiration to find what works for me. And this is no slight to D.R fans. I respect his insight & baby steps. I just know "gazelle intensity" doesn't work for me & I'll get burnt out or become anxious very quickly.
