Hi Lauren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I vote for the Goyard in the GM size. I love my black/tan in the PM size but it's a pain to try to wear in the winter with heavy coats. The green in the GM size would absolutely be my choice lol and hopefully it would give you a reason to visit Chicago again!!!!!! I would love to see a contemporary wishlist!!!!

I have two goyard bags, one black with tan leather and the other in green. Both are great colors but honestly the green feels special and wears well with a lot of colors palettes. Also goyard had a price increase last year on all their black canvas bags in order to match the price of the colored canvas! That’ll probably help with your decision since the Black and tan isn’t ‘cheaper’ anymore lol

I, too, am interested in building a timeless handbag collection, mostly in leather. Although, I have been interested in more contemporary fashion brands such as Coach and Tory Burch due to the price point. I think most influencers should feature handbags that are 2k and under. Frankly speaking, it’s more relatable given the current state of the market.

Hi Lauren! I have two Loewe gateway bags in different sizes and colorways and I love them both! The quality of the leather and craftsmanship is amazing and I would highly recommend. I get comments every time I wear them and I very rarely see other people wearing them. As for the Goyard, have you ever considered Faure Le Page? Their logos are somewhat similar but I prefer Faure Le Page since it's not as "popular" as the Goyard and their bags are also leather. Recently bought a pochette from them in blue and I'm in love!

It seems as if Mulberry gets talked about less and less within the handbag/luxury community, but it really is such a great brand from what I've heard at least. I have yet to own a bag from Mulberry myself, but I feel like their designs are just so classic and understated. I think the color you chose will look great on you! 😊

Just fyi, Goyard (at least here in the USA) no longer has different prices for classic vs. special colors. They’re all priced the same. The only variation in price is based on size, of course.

I love watching your videos and I am also trying to build a more curated collection. Trying to shop more mindful in 2023 😊 thanks for posting your wishlist. However (and this is not meant to be disrespectful or rude) I understand that at the moment "we" are not using or selling our Balenciaga bags. I have one and I haven't used it since the ad, but why Gucci? They had a black face sweater in 2019 and I have not used or purchase Gucci since then. As an African American...I cannot bring myself to forget that and will no longer support Gucci. I know that Chanel also has a controversial history and I am sure if we dig hard enough, a lot of the luxury brands have had some type of sorted history. My question is more as a topic of discussion. Why do some brands get a "pass" for their choice of advertisement and others don't?

I completely agree with you. So many luxury brands have a very dark (and some relatively recent) past. I remember selling my Prada key holder in 2020 after one of their campaigns had blackface and I have not bought from them since. My coworker and I were just discussing Coco Chanel’s involvement and support with the Nazis this past year after the Balenciaga scandal in November. Like you said, if you dig deep enough, almost every luxury and fast fashion/high street brand has had incidents that question our moral and ethical values. I think for me, I evaluate how a brand will respond and make changes for the future (if they do). Thanks for bring up such an important issue!
