Except for your topper goal, your goals seem very reasonable and do able. Mine are pretty much what they always are, 1. Get rid of any polishes I don't wear, and know I won't wear. 2. Organize everything better so I can actually figure out what I do have, and can find it when I want it. And, 3. Don't buy into hype (mostly Holo Taco), and buy whole collections, be more selective.

I just want to say how much I enjoyed your Vlogmas videos, and how much I appreciate all the extra time and effort it took to do them. I hope you'll do it again, but only if you also enjoyed it, and it didn't become too stressful. I have a resolution to wear my untrieds, which I'm already planning to do next week, with neutrals and toppers I haven't used yet. I also want to create swatch sticks of all my polishes, now that my collection is accumulating. I'll be emulating your labelled swatch rings, as it's a very efficient way of doing it. Yeah, I wear toppers on my feet. I did decide stamping on my feet was weird and too much, but a little glitter is nice. I think setting benchmarks for yourself with social media is not a good idea because the algorithms and trends are always changing, it can be so hard to predict what will "work", and success or failure can be kind of random. So many creators get burned out.

My goals for polish are: #1 use what I have #2 stick to my no buy #3 wear mostly untried polishes (which I have a lot of) #4 do more stamping 😉 Hope your year is off to a great start, ❤️

I didn't get sick of you during Vlogmas, but I didn't watch a video every day. I saved some as little pick-me-ups for later. 🥰 The dark, dreary days of December really get me down, and it was wonderful to have a Hillary video to look forward to. I wear toppers on my toenails in summer only, since that is the season where it shows.

I agree with you on stamping and adding stickers as nail art. I am creative but not artistically inclined, at least with the free hand nail art. One of my goals is to get all of my polish swatched on swatch sticks and label them.

As a newbie, I just purchased my 1st Helmer & supply cart to organize my nail polishes. I do have a seasonal but would like to buy a wall rack for toppers so always in front of me & can pair with what on my rack. My other goal is to get a label maker & swatch sticks, so hoping to buy for my bday in April. Sometimes hard seeing how “far ahead” others are but trying to remember I’m new & will get there

I think one of the Caitlin Swatches' videos on how she likes to wear them inspired me to experiment more.

This past year my goal was to not go an entire week with bare nails and I did great! For the most part I wear my polish about 5 days, have a day of rest and re paint. I would like to do some skittles next year to use more shades.

First off, I have really enjoyed all your Vlogmas videos! You could have scaled down to 10 min videos, but no, you did full length content all the way! Second, I sort of gasped when you set a goal to swatch 360 polishes…that isn’t even your whole backlog. Holy moley! My resolutions: wear each polish at least once. If I don’t wear it, I have to get rid of it. 2023 is a no buy (except for base/top coat replacements). I have 158 polishes; I wanted the max to be 150, so I’m over. Plus, I’d like to scale down the next couple years to 120-130 so I am not changing polish so often (although skittle manis are definitely a good way to wear everything!). I have made a list of all my dupes (or near dupes) and I am focusing on using a few of those up this year, plus keeping notes and I’ll get rid of dupes with inferior formulas (or crappy, tiny brushes that can’t be replaced). Finally…and this may be the hardest since I’m trying to wear everything! But, for fingers and toes, I want to have a minimum of 2 contiguous days per month where the nails are bare for nail health. I’ve noticed a little peeling, especially the fingers I use most as accent nails where I wear the hardest to remove toppers and….yeah. Need to get that under control. Toes are definitely essential to achieving some goals and I’m all for toppers on toes (but probably never a glitter topper!) 😊 I think you have touched on this topic some, but it’s the kind of discussion you are great at: when does a “collection” become a “hoard?” It’s something I have thought a lot about lately and it is totally NOT just about nail polish, but other hobbies in my life as well (omg, the art supplies! the yarn! etc.). You may be familiar with the idea of SABLE from knitting: stash acquisition beyond life expectancy lol. I find with my nail polish that half the fun is being able to SEE all those colorful bottles….but it doesn’t bother me when yarn is put up in bins (although maybe that’s why I kept buying it!). BTW, I’m not making any value judgments! I think it would be an interesting discussion.

If you want to try toppers on your toes...maybe try very light, sparse toppers...like China Glaze Fairy Dust. Am accent nail on Toes is always pretty as well.

Totally understand taking a break after Vlogmas! I use toppers sometimes in my pedicures, but I always use peel-off basecoat on my toenails so topper removal doesn't bother me with pedis. Just a thought.

For me rules are a flexible measure to adapt along the way (mind you just giving up is not one of them). One of my goals is to focus on older untrieds. Whatever I received last always is the most tempting and I forget about the others. Budget-wise I would like to continue as had: I decide each month how much I can spend - there will be no-buys and low-buys and some splurges too (worked in 2022 🤓). 💖

Congratulations on completing vlogmas! It was great! I like your goals for 2023. Mine are no more than 12 new polish, excluding gifts, for the year, focus on wearing untried polish and hopefully use up some of my mini bottles that are taking up to much space. Oh I also finally got stamping polish and a good stamper so I'm looking forward to getting the hang of stamping and maybe doing some gradients this year.
