I agree 100%... use your “good stuff”! Use the beautiful dishes, cutlery, glasses, serving pieces, linens, etc.! I love a good tablescape! Any occasion to dress up the table... like a random Tuesday, but most especially on holidays and special occasions! To me, a little bit of effort to make things aesthetically appealing lends to the overall enjoyment of the meal and the gathering of friends and family! I don’t necessarily create themed tablescapes for every holiday but if you have seasonal items or just a few beautiful pieces that enhance the table, use what you have. You can also forage what you can. Over the years, I also like to add to my seasonal decor as and when I find the perfect pieces... and hopefully when they are on sale after the holiday for next year! There are certainly no rules, so experiment, play, have fun and create your own style that suits you. Everyone can see when a bit of extra effort was made to make the enjoyment greater for those who were invited to share a meal and some quality time together! 💗💗💗 Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! And a big thank you for all you do throughout the years! We are grateful you have so many talents and are so willing to share them and give us a bit of inspiration! 🥰😍🥰

Kaleb Oh dear I cannot take my eyes off your Cabinet full of vintage Jadeite. It reminds of Martha Stewart. I especially love my covered jars and my modern Jadeite turkey covered candy dish that I use for the cranberry sauce. I am loving your dining room in your farmhouse.

I miss decorating and displaying pretty table ware. When we moved I had to get rid of the majority of "fun items". I do grieve the loss and I think part of my identity went too. I love how you enjoy celebrating ocassions. 🦃

Beautiful arrangement. Since your cornucopia is papermache your could touch it up and cover the white spots with brown shoe polish. Rub it on then lightly rub it off. Would make it look almost like leather.

Your table looks stunning! I admire a beautifully set table. I am seating 12. I also put most of my meal on the table. Family style. I use a table cloth to make my dinning table and folding table look like one long table. Most of my serving pieces are antiques or pieces that have some meaning to them.. eclectic, nostalgic. I only add candles and sometimes a floral piece.

Love the table scape! I am also a maximilist. More is more. I understand about using special dishes or dinnerware, etc. at the holidays. My parents had a set of "good" dishes that only came out of the hutch for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. I have them now and I may just use them this Thanksgiving! Love it! I always think about what I need the centerpiece to be-decor or utility. Do I need lights? Do I need to have food or condiments on the table, etc. I try to have a combination of both but it’s not always easy. Thank you for focusing on this important part of the holiday!
