I have that reactor liner, and it works!! And yes, carry your own shelter. I'm not trying to smell another man in close quarters, lol. I use a stone glacier 2p skyscraper which is the best tent I've owned bar none and is also modular and the chilkoot 0deg bag. Makes for a comfy combo that I can easily carry for myself.

@sinepari9160 Very cool! Neat little piece of gear. Haha! I hear ya on the stink!

@@DialedinHunter That reactor liner saved my buddy's ass when he brought some cheap bag, and we camped at 10k feet in CO. I had my zero bag so I really didn't 'need' it but I always pack it anyway.

Check out Luci lights.. super light and packable solar lights. Just throw them outside during the day and they will light the entire night.

Awesome video. We had one failed backpack hunt last year. Equipment failure unfortunately. This year I think we are dialed. I have the argali absaroka for my son and I. We each have 5 tags in our pockets which is a first! Our first hunt is 7 miles in before we reach the hunt zone and is an area that’s mostly dominated by guided hunts on livestock. However it’s an area that opens up early for rifle here in Montana. I’m very excited!!!

VERY nice! Sounds like a great time ahead. Thanks for chiming in and best of luck out there with that pile of tags!

Great highly informative video on probably one of the three most important things to have dialed in. A well rested hunter is a better hunter ⛺️😃🏹🦌

The Rincon is awesome on long hunts. Takes all my gear and my vizsla with heaps of space. Great if your laid up by rain or snow for long periods. Super light for its size and function. Quilts are the business - particularly if you get claustrophobic in a mummy sleeping bag. Never looked back

Quilts are THE BUSINESS! So versatile. And I totally agree about the Rincon.

Shelter…Durston X-Mid 1 is what I’ve been using the last 2 seasons and have loved it! Also, love the price point of $250 ish

Great video. I have a Mountain Hardware Phantom 45 sleeping bag. I went on a scouting trip and I kinda used it as a quilt until it got cooler in the night. I then zipped it up. It packs so small and I’ve thought about stretching its use. I’ve thought about the puffy clothes I have but I don’t want to make them more smelling because I still hunt whitetails. A new bag would be expensive right now. Seeing your video with the liner made me remember them. I could get a liner like that for cheap. It could bridge the 45 bag until I need to pull out my super warm bag. Huge thanks!

Just got this tent and insert, good to know the tent will fit in the insert sack! Great video.
@DialedinHunter5 ай бұрын
Awesome man! Yeah, the Rincon I can get the insert and tent in one sack. The Owyhee though I can't. So, I role that setup in two stuff sacks. It's so small though, not a big deal. Thanks!

Does your tent system hold up to those heavy monsoon rains in August? That’s my biggest issue staying dry in extended rains.
@DialedinHunter5 ай бұрын
Yes, sir. I've never had an issue. Even in extended rain like 14 hours straight. Multiple days in a row.

@@DialedinHunterfollow-up question, Josh. When you’re going into and out of the Rincón in the rain is it difficult to keep the inside dry? I’m used to tents with an outer vestibule. I guess you go in/out through the door opposite your sleep setup?
@DialedinHunter4 ай бұрын
@@americansafarico I haven't had an issue keeping the inside dry going in and out. Sometimes, I'll throw my bag back away from the door if I know I'm going in and out. You could also sleep on the opposite side of the entrance like you're saying.
