Thanks for the video linking bro! :) Also, , you've got your AIO fans set the wrong way (Pushing air out from within the case), you're exhausting from the front. Instead of - Pushing cold air into the case through the radiator, intaking from the front. You'd get much better performance if you flipped the 3 fans on the radiator :)

When choosing a motherboard make sure to also match the chipset to the CPU! So with intel the B#60 is for i3 & i5 and the Z#90 is for i7 & i9. You could mix and match them too but you'll be leaving some performance on the table if you pair a B series board with an i7 for example

I'm a PC builder and also an amateur photographer. Few things I noticed except from the cooler being insufficient for the 13900K's TDP is you should have placed your NVMe storage on the slot closest to the CPU cuz it's directly connected to the CPU and should perform a little bit faster. Also, I'm not sure if your fan config is wrong on your new AIO but, if you used reversed fan blades for your front fans it should be good. But, if it's just normal fans the airflow is not optimized and could cause some performance hit. But overall, very nice PC and video bro!

My Mac Mini with M2 Pro 16 core neural engine and 32 gb ram performs totally mind blowing with DaVinci Resolve. I made a switch from Adobe Premiere and do not regret. Way way better for both editing, color grading and effects. I think that DaVinci will take over the high end pro industry ❤

I'd like to see your work flow to editing a video. I always get so overwhelmed with clips and really struggle to manage what I've filmed to put the pieces together like I imagined. I'd love to see how you film and edit such lovely videos
@balancedboys
@balancedboys 8 ай бұрын
What I recommend is separate the video files in 3 steps. 1) the days you filmed (ex: day 1 [clip 1 - 5] - day 2 [clip 6-10]) ect. and do the same for audio files, if you recorded audio separately. 2) label everything. The Labels should look something like "Park Wide take 1" or "restaurant OTS take 3" Or "Garage BRoll take 1". Also label the audio files the same exact way as their corresponding video clip. This way also highlights the importance of slating if you are wanting to match separate audio and video files together. 3)group the videos according to the scene in which they are a part of. This is my favorite and helps to keep me focused on what's next. (ex: Park scene [clip 1-5] - restaurant scene [clip 6-10]) ect. Typically, in the beginning I will start with SO step 1) - 2) -3) in order will help quite a bit and will give you much needed time to get familiar with your footage before even starting postproduction.

I uavent build a PC in ages. Like still using "DVD-R and floppy drive" ages ago. Even new budget PCs today are cleaner than some of the more expensive gaming PCs of way back when. I fairly recently did a "new-ish" build to replace my 15 year old home build rig. I had a gen1 i7 on am ASUS motherboard, 32gb DDR3 duals, booted off a Samsung EVO870 1TB SSD, played off an RX470, had a DVD-R and a blu-ray drive (which was never ever supported), had an old WD 7200RPM 1TB drive for storage, and a Thermaltake Shark in silver. Replaced it with a prebuild but replaced the CPU and RAM, from an i5 to a gen9 i7, 16gb DDR4 to 32gb DDR4 duals, RTX 3060, 1TB Samsung m.2 for boot. I also replaced my old 21" Samsung monitor, also as old as the rig, with a 4k 27" Dell (i can't fit anything larger than that on my desk), and the same Logitech gaming mouse as yours. But my replacememt rig i got on the cheap via auctions around Toronto. Its typically a $1600 rig, but i snagged it for $800 (almost $1k after taxes and auction fees).

6:00 from what i can see, you are going for aesthetic look of the fans and not practicality. First, I would not recommend a one fan solution even on a rad for such a CPU. Next, it is my view that cool air is best to pass through a rad to cool the warm water passing back and forth to the CPU to cool it. I am still looking if there are any more "errors".

11:33 ok depending on the board, if u are going to add more PCIe u may lose performance on 2 of the NVMe. For this reason I had switched from adding more NVMe and use 2.5" SSDs (560MB transfer) for other things other than the OS & programs which are on the main NVMe. One of those SSDs will store Unreal Engine & AI/LLM files, the other SSD for games. An external 2GB transfer speed holds all photoshop & premiere pro work and this is so i can be mobile with those projects from PC to laptop. The ProArt B760 DDR5 WIFI i got has 3 NVMe, only using 1.
@mrbabyhugh
@mrbabyhugh 4 ай бұрын
oh why i concerned about slowing down PCIe, will be using 2 GPUs, a 4070 Super FE on the PCIe 4 slot for photoshop & premiere pro and for the PCIe 5 slot I'm waiting for Nvidia 5000 series to see what they got to use for Unreal Engine, AI/LLM and occasional 1440p gaming. The 4070 Super FE can get me started playing around in Unreal + AI and gaming, but will need more power and I dont believe in the 4090 (yes it's great but i personally dont believe in using that much wattage and price ridiculous), well 70 series is fine for me, want to see what 5070 has to offer. If I not impressed then it'll be ProArt 4070 Ti Super. on the PCIe 3 slot i might daisy chain some GPUs to do some mining.

I love, that you got to build a pc and didn´t just stick to Mac, but there´s a bit of misiformation in the video. 1) you definitely don´t need the 1000w power supply, those are built for folks, who run multiple GPUs or some server hardware. In terms of the PSU wattage calculators, they are almost always way over, just to be safe. You would be perfectly fine with 650w with your current configuration, and maybe 850w if you want to upgrade the GPU in future, and you´ll still have headroom. After all, your PSU is most efficient around 80% load. 2) GPU, GPU, GPU. You definitely want a better GPU. Even if the Canon video somehow wouldn´t work on GPU (but the H265 definitely does), all the renders, effects, noise reduction and colour grading can benefit hugely from GPU acceleration and the fast video memory. GPU literally stands for Graphics processing unit. It is built for this sort of work. Plus you are getting the av1 video codec with new GPUs. But hey, great work after all :)

@letalik_cz2006 11 ай бұрын
also, the CPU parameters are too oversimplified. It's like comparing two cameras just by megapixels, but there is not much you can do about it. The best solution is to just look up a couple benchmarks in the field you work in...

1, the CPU clock speed and the core count is grossly oversimplified. The analogy doesn't work because you can only compare those two values within 1 generation of cpus. 2 don't put your Mobo to the case at least before inserting the cpu, ram, nvme ssd's 3 for rams you also need to mention the latency value as well as the frequency of said ram as well as its generation 4 the case choice will make the airflow suffer as the front of the case is msotly blocked. You can get good fans and a good airflow case and the performence will be more and the noise levels will be same. 5 Also AIO's are noiser when idle compared to air coolers and unless you're doing custom water cooling they won't provide any significant performance improvement. Yeah otherwise I love your content, great video!

On GPU, you don't really need much. 3060Ti is okay as it mostly used in the rendering process and based on my experience, my 1650 Super works just fine with my 4K H.265 100 MBps video. 12 minutes 4K renders after 12-15 minutes. Cool video. It's always fun to see PC builds for video editing. I've heard that the memory controllers on the 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs (and latest gen Ryzen as well) aren't very good and might not always support the DOCP or XMP profiles of the RAM kit if you are running RAM in all four slots. For instance, your RAM is rated at 6000mhz, I'd be curious to know if you're getting that speed since you've populated all 4 slots. I've seen a lot of reviewers suggest only using two RAM sticks if you want fast RAM, but if you want to run 4 sticks, save some money and get slower speed. Also, the GPU can be put to work doing all sorts of GPU-accelerated effects and tasks aside from encoding and decoding--like noise reduction, grain, etc.,--so you could absolutely get some benefits of a better GPU if you can budget for it.

Where did you get 1000W power supply from? That setup could run on 600W no problem. I get future proofing but for an editing PC you could use that 3060 for years and CPU's don't increase power draw much going from generation to generation. A 750W would be good for future proofing and much cheaper.

Great video Anthony! I really like being able to watch all your videos while also being able to learn from them. However, in this specific video, I disagree with a few things you said. For example, you said that for 4K video editing, you should stick with a more powerful CPU. While having a powerful CPU is important when it comes to video editing, I think it is extremely important to have an equally powerful GPU, if not a better one. On top of that, everything else in a PC should be powerful enough to support what ever GPU and CPU you have. The PC you built has great stats, but I think you went over the top a bit. First, your CPU is quite powerful and will create a bottleneck with you GPU, for most people, I would suggests a much cheaper and less powerful CPU, especially if they are just getting into video or photo editing. Second, 128gbs of RAM is a LOT of RAM, I only have 16gbs and I can edit 4k and photos just fine. However, I understand that not all people have the same work flow as me and might be working with a larger amount of videos or photos, either at a higher resolution, or the same resolution. Nevevertheless, I appreciate and respect your video and do not mean to be rude. I'm looking forward to future videos you have related to video or photo editing! 😁

I have comment on my comment. While I do edit 4K videos with 16gbs of RAM, it's worth pointing out that they aren't long videos. However, if you are editing longer videos, then having more RAM can be extremely helpful. All in all, unless you are doing it professionally, there is no need to get a super expensive system, but, it would never hurt.

The testing I've read about shows that cpu is higher priority for 4k editing than the gpu. However, performance levels off at 16 cores. The gpu comes in more for graphics, rendering, and exporting. It seems counter intuitive, for sure.

Not sure who needs to hear this but those older intel Xeon CPUs with 16,18, 20, 24 cores work like a dream in video editing, couple them with something like a 3070, Ti or 3080, you'll never know what stuttering is, the massive core count means that yes they may not beat Morden CPUs on single threaded performance but multi threaded, which he's referring to here is a no contest, because they have massive caches it means they will chew through the video encodes and decodes and timelines like you wouldn't know. Power consumption might shoot but if you consider the ease of life then I think it's a compromise worth making, they regularly appear on Ali express for as little as 10 to 20 dollars and go on from there depending on how new it is and it's core count. Ps the Nvidia GPUs I mentioned can be found for less than 400 USD for the 3080 and 3080 Ti which are equivalent in performance to 4070 and 4070 Ti at a fraction of the price. Heck I even saw a pre built pc from Walmart going for 1200 with an rx 7900GRE and a Ryzen 7700, black Friday offer, I think even if the other parts in there might not suit you that's a very good deal if you don't know how to pick the right parts for your build. As for the GPU or pc parts for cheap, check out jawa. I saw some cool builds and parts.

I dont really think pairing up the i9 with the rtx 3060 is a good idea, I mean yes video editing on premire pro needs more cpu power than gpu but still your kind of limiting the amount of power your getting

Thanks for your video! I edit my photos in LR and my videos in DaVinci using a self-build Windows PC. I have a Synology NAS at well. I would be very interested in your workflow and data mgmt. From the moment you take the picture/the video to the output. Output for me is mainly my LG OLED Smart TV on which I want to watch the family videos and pictures. This would be very tricky with the High-End H.265 Codecs which you use. Futhermore the rights mgmt of the Synology photos app can be very challenging. I am very impressed with the diligence you approach new topics. Therefore I would be very interested to see your approach. Best Simon

For that you'll probably need a good fast CPU, GPU isn't as much. Unless you're in a time crunch and can't lose 12 minutes to render a 12 minutes 4K. Something like the 1650 Super is good... Or at least to my opinion, I render simplistic video often in 4K although in 8 Bit only. A 12 minutes video took around 13 to 14 minutes to render. However, this is why you'll need a better CPU, my problem with my PC is that the CPU is a budget entry level CPU from 2018.

And the old CPU doesn't help in Timeline scrubbing and everything else other than rendering. I use H.265 rendering which utilize the GPU for rendering.
