I'm using the R5C but I may get the C70 later this year as my main, with the R5C being my B and Gimbal Cam. I do a lot of client interviews with corporate work, and going to be doing a few personal doc projects. And having a dedicated Gimbal cam... I just don't like moving my camera from a tripod to a gimbal back to a tripod back to a gimbal... And I don't mean in one project, I mean at all lol

Yeah the R5C is great! I definitely think the C70 is the best for filmmaking and videos. R5C is great if you want photos & video or full frame.

@@BrockRoberts Yeah I do Photography and Video for my clients. Many people I follow won't use the C70 because of the super 35 but, my B-Cam now is an EOS R with a Ninja V and to shoot that 4K, well everyone knows. And before I got the R5C, my B-Cam on Client work was a T6i, so, I'm use to crops and don't have a prob with them. Just move back lol

@@EddieWoodsRemnantOutreach the best way to use the C70 is with the speed booster. It gives you a full frame look and really doesn’t have many noticeable downsides. I do it 99% of the time. It’s fantastic.

Really considering this camera, love the filmic look. Stuck between getting a hybrid (leaning towards the canon r5c) or just getting the c70 and saving to get a photo camera (maybe r6ii) as a b-cam. Also canon has 2 new cinema cameras coming this year so now I’m more unsure.

The C70 is one of the best “affordable” true cinema cameras out there and I think will be for the next few years regardless of what Canon comes out with. I run the R6ii & C70 combo and it’s great! R5C is great too much definitely a different look.

Good stuff fam. Back in 2023 I sold off a bunch of gear, in order to downsize a bit. I regret most, selling my 85mm EF f/1.4. Amazing lens. SO my kit right now is pretty basic, but covers all my needs. Canon R5 and C100 Mark II with a variety of lenses. Thanks for sharing your kit.

Don't buy if you don't need to. Use what you have to the fullest thats the way. And when the time comes to invest you know its a good investment and you will not regret it

Appreciate it! I primarily use pelican cases these days. Occasionally I’ll use my manfrotto bag. Great size for the C70

Great, great content!! Thank you. Im looking into getting a C70 as I'd like to start getting into some solo filmmaking projects. So obviously I am about to spend a decent amount of money, so in your opinion, what would be the lens you would start out with from a filmmaking perspective. I realize a lot comes into play here, but just looking at a good first lens that can cover a lot of, or enough, ground. I do love anamorphic, but that probably is not the first lens I want...lol. Thanks for the kind words!! I’d personally go with a 24-70mm of some kind. Really is the best all around. Or even Canon’s new 24-105 1.8!

Thank God I found someone who is not a gimbal fan. Though there are times you need a gimbal, I won't use it if I can get away without it. Great video and by the way can you please clean your C70? 😉

For sure! Definitely times where you need a gimbal but generally I’m not a fan. I’m sorry 😅 I noticed that on the edit. Saw dust from the last shoot I had haha
