MY 2024 GOALS

When we moved into our house my first daughter was 9mo old so my MIL and our cleaning lady unpacked my kitchen. It wasn't until a year later that I finally made the time to take everything out and re-do it for me. It really makes a huge difference in enjoying your own space.

I’m looking forward to making progress on my six goals, but the one I’m most excited to start is prioritizing opportunities to be creative and mindful. I have a creative job which drains me and in reflecting on 2023, I realized that non-work creative things helps me relieve stress as well as be more creative at work.

Right now the goal I'm most excited about for 2024 is to "mindfully enjoy hobbies" instead of binge watching. However, there will hopefully 🤞be a change coming in the first month (work wise) that will change what I'm most excited about.

I am going to continue to scrapbook throughout 2024. I did December Daily for the first time. It feels like a gratitude practice which I have struggled to stick with.

I love this! Especially enjoying the kitchen. I HATE cooking. My husband is amazing at it, but like Sam, is focused on work during the week. So I have always just had to do it. Prioritizing the enjoyment sounds perfect!

One of my goals is to make new friends. It's always been a difficult thing for me and definitely not easy. But I know I need to get back to socializing.

I love your goals, and it's interesting how all 4 fall in a big theme of sorts, if you take that perspective - I think this goes in alignment with the one big vision (or theme), and then having aligned goals to that one big vision!

I just got a promotion at work so super excited to get stuck into that! It's something I have been working on for a year and a half and now being recognised! Also my big kid is starting Secondary school (UK) and there will be so many changes along with that too! x

Hi Laken! I love watching your videos on goal setting! (I live watching all of your videos actually...😊) I'm still figuring out my 2024 goals but one that I am excited to do for sure is move into my own home. I have lived with friends for the last several years and I'm looking forward to being in my own space again. ☺️

Hi Laken! Thank you for sharing your goals! I’m still working on how to word mine for 2024, but overall, I know I want to continue to improve my health (and my husband’s), love my house (think home improvement, declutter, clean), try new things (this is for work - I’m a music teacher), and complete some hobby projects (including a reading challenge). These are VERY broad right now.

Those are broad, but broad is not necessarily bad! You cant always change/define the words as you start working on them too!

Love it! Thanks for sharing! My daughter is a month younger than yours, so a lot of my 2024 has some of the same considerations. I named the vague motherhood goal “build joy bonds with Cornelia” in reference to attachment theory. But it will hold much more than attachement related actions.
