I realized that I was moving towards a bullet journal but in a ring binder. I am not a bound book girl but I like the aspects of bullet journaling. I also realized that it was finally time to downsize from an a5 and decided to try an a6. I love this size so much and I actually have my whole system; planner, commonplace and journal in an a6 and I love it so much. I am not a planer hopper but I change things out like planner covers or accessories to keep me engaged. It really does work.

I feel like bullet journalling in a ring binder is a such a good hack for the system! Yes!! This is exactly what I’m hoping to do, swap out the ‘accessories’ if you will, just like what I do with my closet (lol) so that it feels new and fresh but I’m not abandoning my notebook

lol as a child I was never good with my ring binders so I’ve kinda carried that tendency into adulthood but I envy the people who’s brains work with rings, they seem so flexible! ohhhh nice nice, congrats on starting your new instagram account!

That was me with bound books I would get so frustrated I started just ripping the pages out. 😳 I get jealous and drool over the travelers notebooks especially yours and Lindsey scribbles. I almost pulled the trigger and bought some. But I know that wouldn’t have ended well. Lol I will just keep drooling and admiring from a distance lol

I went with Lindsey Scribbles’ 2 book journal/planner for most of 2023 and absolutely LOVED it. I hope you do too. I am going to try the SI passport planner along with a SI booklet for collections for 2024, just to see how it works out, but I do have all the items I need to switch back if need be. I also have the Monthly Booklets from SI just in case I am too lazy to draw out my months. LOL This is my EDC and I put very little deco in it.

So excited for your Year of the TN. I hope this return to bullet journaling brings you peace and comfort! I just started bullet journling this year in a Sterling Ink N2/weeks notebook. I only do Daily Logs in it, as it is my work planner. I also just started my first Long Term Collections notebook in a Leuchtterm A5. Im keeping it simple with only pen and tombows as highlighters. My monthly/weekly/goal setting is in a Hemlock & Oak weekly planner. It is my first time using a goal setting system!

I suspected a return to bullet journaling when the cousin didn't work out 😀. I'm experienced a similar journey as well. I think I just got caught up in all the hype around all the new releases and well I LOVE stationery. I've had time for the allure of the new products to fade and time to really process through my planning and journaling needs for work and personal. I am returning to bullet journaling as well. I wish you happy holidays with your family and hoping you get some time off from work to enjoy! 🎄⭐🎉

Journaling in a passport looks great. I currently journal in a pocket and love small journals. Your style is so great and your system looks great too! I will be moving from my loved Hobo cousin to a TN system with a Bujo.

I'm gonna try to use my traveler's notebook this year. Last year I did the hobonichi techo. I feel like I hop to different planning methods every year because I like different aspects of them. But ultimately I think I want something somewhat low effort but also something I can customize a bit. I'm going with an undated weeks insert and getting some stickers to help spice things up. Hopefully, it being undated will help me not feel like I've ruined the notebook if I don't use it for a week or two 🤷‍♀

I feel that, every planning system has different pros and cons and I feel like I get tempted depending on what’s going on in my life and I convince myself that a new system would solve all the problem, but I’ve noticed it doesn’t really help address the problems for me its more of a distraction, so I’m trying to remind myself of that this year!

Thanks for this video, & ideas for my system. I’m really enjoying your videos. Now I’m in the mood for coffee & a Kettlemans bagel lol. I’m working out of a Travelers passport for work, with 3 inserts. This is my first year using a TN, so this year will be an experiment in what works, & what doesn’t. I have a monthly, a weekly, & a lined insert for lists. I also bought a regular TN dinners, but I haven’t set it up yet. I have mixed feelings about it. I kinda regret spending the money on it, but I do like it. I do still have an issue with a few little things that irritate me with TN’s, so I still may try Galen Leather.

Ahhh yes tea and a Montreal style bagel with cream cheese, oooh now I’m hungry lol. That’s exciting your first year in a tn! I hope you like the system :D You might find you like the diner cover the more your use it?? I found with my tns, as they age and patina with me I grew more fond of them but also sometimes it’s better to rehome them if you know it’s not the cover for you ☺️

@@KaitlinGrey Ooh! I gotta share this. I don’t know if it’s just me, in this dilemma. I’ve started a “restaurant coffee” list in my passport. I get frustrated when going to a restaurant, & I forget if I like the coffee, or not. Some restaurant coffee I love, but most don’t cut it for me, & I’m tired of spending money on bad coffee.

hi kaitlin! aaa I have always resonated with your bullet journal! I am so happy to see them in the main cast (I mean technically the whole cast LOL) for 2024. this year I am planning to stay subscribed to people utilizing the same system as me in order to maybe lessen the chance of being influenced by planner consumerism. lol! I’d like to go back to the basics this upcoming year so I’ve been trying to break down my reflections from this year and set some intentions for next year. I add pretty thick stuff (instax photos, brochures, coasters) so I think it might help but it would still create a lot of bulk!
