To be able to hop around so many books and systems is a privilege. These journals / notebooks are very expensive in many countries and for many people. I really like what you said at the end of the video. Be kind to yourself. This is meant to be a fun hobby. For me and others, we keep to one book because of affordability and necessity. We try different ways and methods but in that one book to make it work also. Thank you for sharing your methods, notebooks and journals. It really helps us think what would work and what would not work for us individually. 🙏🏻

Thank you for sharing this and being so honest! I realized that my system wasn't working for me either, and after trying to change it up a few times, I realized that it was more than just the system that needed changing. Needless to say, I'm excited for 2024 and what it has to bring!

Loved this end of year reflection! I discovered your channel late last year, so 2023 was my first full year of following along your journal/planner journey. Despite our systems looking different because we needed them to do different things for us, I have thoroughly enjoyed following along your journey. Thanks for taking us along ☺️ I look forward to seeing how your system works for you in 2024!

My journals have kept me going this year. I always have 1 for work and 1 for my personal life. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, ultra high risk. I was immediately written out of work on short-term disability. This has been an odd year for me, and at least the first 6 months of 2024 will be more of the same. I have my Hobonichi cousin and my weeks set up, so I'm ready for whatever life brings. 🙂

Hi Kaitlin! I also love stationeries and journals. And I have had the same problems that you had with fixed page journals. Then I tried to ring binders, which gave me a lot more freedom in journaling! I can put in photos without worrying about the journal exploding; trying different layout each month; remove or redo pages that I do not like. And I've been really loving it! Thought maybe you want to maybe try it?

lol let me tell you ring binders have been a serious temptation for me lately! I’m trying to use and enjoy what I have right now but maybe I’ll give them a try sometime this year 🤫

Love this! I think I'm going to be in this many books in 2024 as much as I tell myself I won't 😅

Thanks for sharing your year in review journals. This video made me feel better about the notebook hopping I did when attempting to keep 1 work Bujo. My Common Planner is the only journal I never left this year. Looking forward to your next video!

Congrats on one year in your common planner! That’s must be so satisfying 🙌🏻

Another great video I enjoyed with my morning coffee ☀I absolutely feel you when you're talking about the way you changed your system so many times during the year, I think I've never spent a year yet where this didn't happen to me too 😂 However, just like you said at the end of the video, I hope that 2024 will be a beautiful planner year for you, your videos are so chill and comfy, thank you so much for all of it, it brings peace and joy with each release ❤🫶

My year overall was very on and off, found I loved using the Stalogy a6 right around when you started using them but had trouble setting up one page a day. Then got wrapped up in the Hobonichi fall launch day hype and picked up the weeks mega, set up October and November in the back and found my consistency! Love love love!
@KaitlinGrey11 ай бұрын
The hype is definitely real! One of my goals next year is to enjoy the hype but not let it impact my analog system as much 👀

love this video. thanks for sharing all of your explorations!!! Also - I too figured out this year that I don't love fountain pens, and I am solely attached to my gel pen

Gel pens for lifeeee 😂😂

In mmy Hobonichi books, I have to use a fine nib fountain pen to jeep my writing legible.

Thanks for sharing. Nice system. Question, where did you get the moon pictures?
@KaitlinGrey11 ай бұрын
Hey thank you! The moon photos are from the Sora calendar

your journals are lovely! you're the reason why I tried using fewer decors on pages too XD if I may ask, what do you use for printing the less chunky photos?
@KaitlinGrey11 ай бұрын
Thank you! I used a laser printer with copy paper for my super thing photos. It’s not the best quality but the least bulky

hi kaitlin! niche question: i adore the tsukineko jumbo java dew drop ink pads, but find mine dry out super quickly, even when i'm strict about only having them open when i'm actively stamping! your stamps always look nice and dark, so i was wondering if you had any tips?
@KaitlinGrey11 ай бұрын
Mine dry out really fast as well, I think it’s pretty common with chalk ink unfortunately :( Usually what I do to try to use the ink pad as long as possible, is the more dry it gets the more presses I do with the stamp and I also will use more pressure and then once that doesn’t work I usually by a new one

im so nosy when it comes to different journaling styles, so I loved this!! can I ask how you print out your photos? is it photo paper? do you use a template to print them easier? im awful at printing photos for my books haha
@KaitlinGrey11 ай бұрын
Ofc! Ok so a little tricky bc I printed my photos differently across each journal but I’ll break it down so hopefully it’s clear: 1. A6 stalogy: I used a canon cp1500 photo printer, where I sized the photo a little smaller than a6 so it would fit in my journal (cut it down with an exact knife) 2. cousin: printed these photos on copy paper with my laser printer, then cut down 3. Passport tn: Instax mini link print (just printed the photo and washi taped it in)

Do you not struggle with how wasteful it feels though?
@KaitlinGrey11 ай бұрын
Most of the time I find ways to repurpose notebooks so if there’s some blank pages in one, I have no problem using them for lists and rough notes but I do get frustrated when I change notebooks/systems after barely using the book, it’s something I want to work on improving/reducing next year
@foamsoap4111 ай бұрын
I also stopped using cursive this year! It's easier in the moment but then looking back its harder to read :(
