There is also a massive influx in how many decks are being released and created - ppl making deck after deck after deck, almost more about pitting the decks out than actually creating something unique and researched. It is very "fast fashion" like At the same time, being a may Taurus getting all the new beautiful decks just makes my inner dragon feel abundant and loved.

I am quite a lot older than you and it suddenly struck me that I probably don't have enough time left to re-read every book and delve into every deck that I have, but I'm going to make a real good stab at it 💕💗

Indeed! I love the golden oldies in my collection. And I have mad respect for all of the beautiful decks in my collection. Especially the ones that I’ve had for a long time because it’s allowed me to build a deeper and greater rapport with these older decks.

I’ve been watching tarot tube since 2015 and I’m missing the feeling I had when I first started using decks. I think we all get sucked into the consuming of them but we don’t take the time to actually sit and give them time. I regret selling so many decks I know I’ll never get back now cause of being out of print and the price point now for eg. First edition Mary El, Baba studios Gothic tarot and Alice tarot. Some of my biggest regrets. 😢

This Autumn-winter I’m diving back into the Deviant Moon tarot and Les Vampires oracle amongst a few other older decks I have just acquired again. :) 🙌🏼

I'm sitting here trimming and edging the Crystal Visions as I watch this, it was nice to see it pop up! I'm doing a soft depth year this year - my collection isn't overwhelming, but I want to be really intentional about the decks I buy - and books, my other collecting weakness!

Apparently I'm doing a reading depth year as im already up to 25 books. Im reading all the books on my shelf and getting rid of those that I don't enjoy as a part of a bigger clear out of "stuff" The hubby and I want to get some land for a weekender and put a shipping container tiny home on it so im trying to pare down all my physical possessions as we want to mive there full time at some point. Funny you should mention a shipping container library ad we said we'll need a second container as a library 😝

I love this. I do the wish list thing too 😊 I still have those older decks, some are in storage at the moment while our house is being renovated, but still have some of my favourites out. Hidden waters, Wildwood, dust II onyx, The art of love and deviant moon. I feel like so many decks are made now, even by people with no real understanding of the system behind. I don’t mind rules being broken, but I like someone to have the knowledge of the rule behind to break it meaningfully if that makes sense. I’m currently experimenting making my own for specific purposes by using a plain deck of playing cards. It’s not for sale or anything, just a personal thing. I think the longer I practice witchcraft, the more I see the deep value in creating things myself. Adored watching your process making your deck. ❤

I love the little decks I get from Witches Roots. I find them easy to read. And it is good practice for me. And they are the right size for my little hands as well. I'm not doing a depth year, though I do love the idea of them! But on practice I start out strong and eventually my brain goes "cool but what about the shiny thing over there? Let's check that out" and there goes my focus 😅 I guess I'll have to live it vicariously through you 😂

Hey Avalon. My dining room table is covered in stacks of Tarot decks. Against the wall there are many boxes full of decks as well. A curious thing happened though, after I got the Bonestone I stopped buying decks. It was as if the Bonestone quenched my thirst for more Tarot decks. Having said that, I did pre-order Tarot of Echoes and can't wait to get it. I'm also waiting for Cilla Conway's new tarot to be released. Other than that I also plan on just enjoying what I already have instead of wanting what I don't have. Oh yeah and I'll also be ordering your new Tarot once it's available ;-)
